I'm guessing Heritage will be packed. Over the last three years Denfeld has been bringing the margin of loss down from 7 to 4 to 2 goals last year. Could this be the year they pull an upset?

Watching Denfeld last night against Hibbing they did not impress me. Granted Hibbing played very good. East will be to much to handle. East by 5.

East should win, but they have this tendency to play down to their opponents' level sometimes. Now before you Hunter faithful rake me over the coals for calling your team inferior, look at results between the teams over the past twenty years.

That said, Denfeld can be dangerous. They gave East all they could handle last season, a Hounds team which was better than this season's squad. East has better balance than last season on offense, but you don't just replace Tardy, Forbort, McLean, Arbour, Williams etc. It's a good team, no question, and I believe their best hockey is still to be played.

East by two. A Denfeld win wouldn't be shocking. Hounds fans, be careful. I've had crow and there is no way to make it taste good. Image

Unless Robb Stauber puts the pads back on and jumps in the nets for Denfeld, East will kick six different colors of dog crap out of the Hunted.

East 7-1.

After East's loss last night to Elk River, I think the Hounds are running scared.

I'll take Denfeld in this one. :D

 The day East runs scared from Denfeld will be the day we compose the requiem for the East hockey program.

That said, this is a classic trap game. East can't take this one lightly, since this game means a lot to Denfeld and relatively little to East.

Any chance WEBC is picking this one up?

If the east fans actually show up to this it might be a good crowd at the heritage..

Ah, yes....Andy Zapp. That Hunters squad had a couple of pretty good players in Mark Gunderson and Bucky Burleigh. East outshot them 31-16 and lost 2-0.

Pointless Fact Of The Week: That year's Hounds squad actually had a lower average SOG than last year's squad. They did, however, score on nearly 20% of their shots. They had a couple of pretty nice snipers on that squad, as I recall. Image

Nice memory  Yea they were a pretty dominating team in 95-96 thanks to a few of those "what was their names" :)

Since your good with stats would you please post or link the SoG and score again to the East-Marshall game from that same season again ....

I really think locker and Spehar made the fanbase what it was in the 90s.. then the whole school just got into it.. Hell even people who didnt like hockey were at the games, The hicks, the skaters, stoners whatever... Now its just a bunch of preppy loudmouths who think they run the school..

My brother shares your pain. He's in the same predicament.
