Blaine 1
st.marys 2

st.marys is a Canada team their record for the season is 20-2. Blaine played them tough until the last 2 minutes of the third. Blaine was down to 2 lines. First goal for St. Marys was a 5 on 4. Game winner was a great shot from the top of the circle on a 5 on 3. Great game of hockey by both teams

because we had one kid get injuried. Couple kids shad broken blades. Then we had a stupid penatly so he was out 10 minutes. Other than that Avery good tournament was a lot of fun for the kids to get the chance to play outside Minnesota.

Aretha Franklin’s R-E-S-P-E-C-T should have been playing during the warm up of the Wayzata v. Edina game last night. These two teams have had some great battles in the past two seasons: Wayzata defeating Edina in overtime in the Regional Tournament to capture the number one seed in the State Tournament. Than at State, Edina bettering Wayzata by one goal to win the State Championship. Both teams were focused and intent on playing their best hockey. The game was fast, hard hitting and displayed a lot of hockey talent. There was no cheap shots taken or trash talking. Every shift the players gave their best. It was a great game to watch.

I overhead two Wayzata players talking after the game. They also spoke of what great fun it is to play Edina and what talented players they are.
R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

Great game guys!

I have to disagree. This was one of the least entertaining games between these two teams. Edina dominated the first two periods, and Wayzata picked it up a little in the third, but overall ugly hockey played by Wayzata, and plenty of cheap shots by both teams. Considering they are number 1 and 2 in the state, and that is the only time they will meet in league play, and all the history, that game was pretty disappointing.
When Hell freezes over, I'll play hockey there too.
