Watched Brock Nelson in elites and he was a man amongst boys, and he is ranked high in the draft and after that beat down last night his stock just went up score should have read 5-1 but home ice advantage you get to kick goals in like roseau first goal.

who is this {knock} kid is he getting lot of attention from scouts where is he playing next year.I do not believe 1 player is going to have that much of a difference, because roseau was out played by every line, and it was not the first line that got all the goals for warroad no:1 line 2 goals,NO: 2 line 1 goal, NO:3 2 goals.

I come up north here and I see so much hockey tradition in the area arenas, and that is why this area produces alot of good hockey players regardless of what class they play, I could go on and make accusations that the only reason that roseau opted up is they couldn't beat that class a team 20 miles to the east, kind of like the girls did this year, but I won't because having these two clubs ,boys and girls representing there sections down at state brings nothing but class down here. Good Luck on your rest of the season.
Take #3, or #9 out of Warroad's lineup - and see how that affects the rest of the team, game plan, etc. Knochenmus DID have an impact by not being on the ice.

Home ice advantage - you mean like the delay tactics that Hasbargen uses after nearly every whistle? Yeah, the reffing was so one sided favoring Roseau, please.........they were equally bad for both teams.

I could go on and make accusations of recruiting, for boys AND now girls hockey etc - but I won't. Oops, guess I just did.

Probably one of the most physical games I've seen between these two teams, and should be a great one in Warroad. I'd bet the outcome will be different this time around - but that's why they play the game. It was another fun Roseau/Warroad game to watch, next time should be the same.
Roseau's first goal was clearly kicked in. What's this recruiting thing? Who do the Warriors have that is recruited....enlighten me

Apparently he's ranked high for the draft, but I don't see that kid making it to the NHL. I hope he proves me wrong because he's a good kid, but he doesn't impress me as much as he impresses everyone else i guess.

If Knock was playing last night it would've been a different outcome for sure. That 1st line for Warroad is great, but Roseau's first line when healthy is just as talented. I"m looking forward to the game at the Gardens when hopefully both teams are healthy. I give the Warriors props for sure, played really well last night. They deserved to win that one, it was a physical battle. And, I really hope the Story kid is going to be OK.

But, Roseau is the top dog up north. 7-0 in state titles. Good for Warroad for winning those A titles, but those don't count in my book, you just can't compare the two. Warroad has a great tradition, but will always be the backup singers to Roseau until they can win the big one. The way it looks that might never happen for them, and that's too bad. I thank god every day I was born in Roseau, and not 20 miles to the east. haha. playful jab. zoink.

Sounds like you know lot about hockey. should prob call the nhl and let them know. don't want them missing out......
Go gargle on Brock's cheese curds buddy! That was 2 years ago. Brock looked like a basketballer trying to play hockey 2 years ago. That's just my opinion though. I know everyone in Wierdroad wants to be Brock's cheese curd dumpster, but all you're doing is inflating his head. Hopefully he doesn't listen to everyone in Wierdroad because if he does his head is going to be bigger than the Gardens can hold. I think he'll have to work his ass off to get to the show, just don't see the toughness and grit I'd like to see. I'm pulling for him because he's a good guy, but that doesn't mean i'm going to kiss his ass. People compare him to Oshie, but I don't see it, he's got quite a ways to go to get there.

All i said 2 years ago was Knock and Erickson were good sophomores, that's it. I'm pretty sure I wasn't wrong. But, since they aren't in the top 20 of the pre-draft rankings they aren't good. I was wrong about Brock, didn't think he'd be where he is today. I still don't think he'll see the ice for an NHL team. I think Brock needs some doubters out there and not all head inflaters.

Thanks for setting me straight bud. Keep breathing that Wierdroad BS.

One thing you fail to recognize is that during Brock's senior year he was on the same line as Bryce Ravendalen. Bryce was a selfish puck hog and IMO the most over rated player to put on a Warroad sweater. Brock's sophmore year he had like 12 points. Last year he had over 70. He;s having another productive year this year, too.
No one is gargling on his "cheese curds" either. Look at his skill set and what he did over the summer in the elite. He is clearly one of the best players in the state. Did you say that people from Roseau shouldn't give respect to Aaron Ness because he would get a big head? I don't remember anyone making claims like that.

When did I say I don't respect Brock or you shouldn't? When did I say he wasn't one of the best players in the state? All I said is i don't think he's a lock to be playing with Oshie in a couple years. People in Wierdroad seem to think that's the case. I think I've said at least a couple of times I hope the kid proves me wrong. Absolutely no disrespect to Brock, he's a really good hockey player. I just think a lot of people in that town need a reality check. When i hear people say Warroad's 1st line is all 1st round draft picks it's hard not to laugh at how stupid that is. Obviously these aren't your brightest community members so I shouldn't bunch them with everyone else. But, everyone is so enamored with this kid it's probably hard for his head not to turn into a hot air balloon. Ness was a similar situation a couple years ago in Roseau.

It is ridiculous when people comment like Warroad's first line will all be draft picks. Brock will be picked hopefully in the late first round range but probably more realistically in the second somewhere. I spoke with Hebel a few weeks ago and he said he's hopeful to make NAHL team. That's a tier two junior league. I'm not completely sold on Nick Stoskopf either. He's a good player no doubt, and the best one on the team to fill the other first line spot, but I think last years Warroad team had a better first line with Dane Shaugabay instead.

Now that a week has went by, my two cents on the game. Roseau did not kick in a goal, it hit a skate and was then knocked in with a stick. The reffing could have been better. They seemed confused on nearly every call. If they would have had a couple in their sack, they would not have given Warroad a 2 to 5 minute break every other whistle to rest the first line, but would have dropped the puck and played the game. Extremely physical hockey game, in which I thought Warroad won that part too. Roseau is definately not playing the hockey we saw earlier this year and I do believe Knochenmus' injury has a big part in that. Thank goodness he did not come back to play in this game, because the way the hitting was, the shoulder may not have held up. I did not see much after the whistle garbage from either team that sometimes goes with this game. Brock Nelson is a very good player. He sees the ice tremendously well and has a real talent around the net. The only thing I saw lacking in his game, was that he did not win a single draw all night. On to the rematch!

Please tell us when we said the whole Warroad first line would be all first round draft picks? People have been comparing Nelson to Oshie as far as I've seen, and that may or may not be a fair assessment. Oshie, like I said before, is/was a more complete player, especially physically, but on pure set of skills I would think it is pretty comparable between the two. Oh and Weirdroad? how clever...oh and no one has responded about the recruiting yet, I would like to hear some acquisitions as well...

You all really need to get over yourselves. it was just a hockey game and thats all it will be. warroad won because they came out to play and this coming from a roseau fan. yes knock being out might have impacted the game but i dont think roseau would have won. warroad was much more physical and moved the puck way better. who knows about there next match up at the gardens. it will be a great game and both teams will come out to play hard. and the team that is ready to do that better is gonna win hands down.
