Anyone at the Stillwater/Hastings game should have seen the same thing;

A young goalie who was forced into a situation she wasn't ready for (thats who you feel bad for), especially if she is coming off of knee surgery.

A team (Hastings) who was pressing because they were down early and knew it was going to be a long night. That led to some turnovers and rushes in the second period which is why Stillwater scored 6 in the second.

A team (Stillwater) who put in their backup in the third and played classy the whole time. I'm not a stillwater backer but there was nothing that they should be ripped about.

I'm sure Hastings will use it as motivation, but not because Stillwater was classless.

I did a little checking into scores.

Rochester Century has been outscored by 9 goals or mor 12 times and once 20-0. That's not very nice.

Some teams have scored at least 10 goals 4 times or more. Also not very nice.

If my math is correct, six forwards scored 37 points. I guess that looks good in the individual stats columns .... In my experience, this is not uncommon for the Warroad head coach. He plays the same way in the summer -- no sympathy for a weaker team. In looking at the Warroad scores this year, they have had many lopsidded games, beating the following teams: Holy Angels 11-0; Lake of the Woods 15-0; Thief River Falls 12-0; Eastview 10-1; Silver Bay 16-0; Lake of the Woods 15-0; Superior 13-0; PHM 8-0.

When you get unlimited ice time and play together all year round you get good unfortunately for the team on the receiving end too good.

Warroad is a joke.

Until they start competing as a AA school I ignore them. (both girls and boys)

Real A champion is whoever takes second to Warroad.

I think you could throw Blake in that comment. Another team who should be AA.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that Hill Murray is the only single A sized private school playing AA.

Aren't Benilde and Academy of Holy Angels "single A size" schools that play AA? I think Breck should be in AA too but my opinion only applies to girls hockey. I can see where they would be A level in other sports? Can schools play at different levels for various sports offered at the school?

Let's see all of these privates every year seem to get some top players and will play an AA school and say. WOW look we beat a AA school. Big deal. Or beat most A schools by 10 goals and say WOW. How many of these privates have D1 girls on their teams year after year. Past and present.

It took a small school Rosseau to have the guts to say we play AA schools and win. Let's move up and try to see what we can do.

I do agree all privates should play AA. and all play in the same section.

I know it's not the players fault and I do understand they choose these schools for the education.

Ok I predict that in 2020 Breck and Blake decide to move up to AA after winning 7 State titles between them over the 2010-2020 decade. 8)

Stillwater's rollin. Always seems they get better late in the season. Great coaching. That's a big score as ER was playing well.

SSM bench short for first game as most juniors were testing.
Both SSM and Tbreds had players on official visits.
Tbreds appeared to have had player(s) on bench in street clothes during both games.
