Looking forward to the tilt tonight. Have not watched either team this season...Looking forward to watching Hannah Brandt for the Hill...29 goals 21 assists...she seems to be the real deal.

The Pioneers five losses have come at the hands of Irondale, Edina, Roseville, Warroad and Roseau.

The Zephyrs have rolled with a goaltender by committee...by the looks of things, it should be Alex Pfiffner between the pipes...we shall see.

The Zephs search for revenge for a 5-0 shutout loss to the Pioneers mid-December.

I'd like to nominate Hannah Brandt's nickname to be "The Deal". Not the "Real Deal". Just "The Deal".

By the time she is done with HS and most games now I call her "The BIG Deal" I don't think there is anybody in girls HS hockey who moves through traffic with the puck, or creates space better or pulls the defense and then moves the puck to the right person than Hannah. Any player could benefit from watching her play with the puck and away from the puck. She is a real student of the game and studies the HM games on film to see how she can improve - best part there isn't a nicer kid or member of a team - nice kid all around - great role model.

I like it--"The BIG Deal".
I've never seen a player like her, with the combination of hands, vision, strength, smarts. And she's deceptively quick, if nothing else through great effort. Hardest worker on the ice, with the puck, without, backcheck, forecheck. She makes plays that nobody else would attempt, or have the imagination to think about. Very scary that she's a sophomore.

Anybody with the least interest in girls' hockey should make a point of seeing her play. And it's a great idea to get kids to watch her. Make them sit and watch.

We used to just call her "Hannah Banana."

Seriously, Hannah is a great kid and a phenomenal hockey player. Anyone who has had the privilege of playing with her should count themselves among the lucky ...

I think she makes everyone around her better both on and off the ice.
