Looks like it might have been a pretty entertaining game. USA 2-1 over Rochester Century.
Goalie Jessie Vetter stopp 27 of 28 shots to lead the pony tails. Goals scored Monique Lamoureux and Kelli Stack.
Cameron Sellnow had 17 saves and the goal was scored by Jordan Martini for Century.

Game was a lot better than I thought it would be. Century led in shots after 1 with 12 to 3 shots on goal. The first goal was scored about 7 minutes into the periods. From than on, until late in the third period, it looked as if Century got a little scared on who they were playing. Century missed a great chance to tie the game with about two seconds left. The shot went just wide of an open net. Anyone know if the game would've ended in a tie or if they would've had some type of OT? Overall, it was a very entertaining game. Hopefully, the U.S. can pick it up a little and beat Canada for the gold.

So, the reason the womens Olympic team is not better prepared is that the MN State HS league restricts to 25 games and no one could add a game? Simple solution, MSHSL adds a bonus game in the year of the Olympics, no one can schedule this 26th game in advance. This game could be added in the Olympics year against a team like the US womens team, or it could be against some elite prep school in another location, or it could be your favorite rival that you no longer get to play. Everybody that wants this 26th game can use it. Would this ruin MN HS hockey?MNHockeyFan wrote:"The U.S. Women’s Hockey Team Is Not as Battle-Tested as It Intended"
