One small factor you are forgetting there dmandad1980 the Worriorz of the Barnyard city have a goalie that can stop the puck. 3 - 2 Rams. Wish I could make this one, it will be a barn burner!!

As of right now Brainerd is on a roll(12 Straight wins), and have a great chance to make a run come section time. But just to set the table before sections, a dominating performance is about to happen.

Brainerd - 5
Roseau - 2

Look out section 8AA, Brainerd has themselves a hockey team!

Lisen to Bobcat and Z-Man and find out who wins!!

Post by iwatchalotofhockey »

Well everyone if you can't make it then listen to Bobcat and Z-Man call the game tonight. You can get to hear them by clicking on our website link and listening to all the action here:

www.MnSportsNetwork.com

I see the Warriors won for the first time ever over Rapids so listen in and see if Archie has his team ready for the Rams. They came close two times before back in Sections 90-91 (2 OTs) 3-2 and back when I played in Sections in 85-86 when Sandy Smith was with them 5-4. So should be a good one.

Not bad coaching staffs by the way in this one with (4) former Pros coaching combined. Broten, Erickson, Lundbohm, and Archibald!!!

Enjoy the game hockey fans!!! I know I will. Go Green. Sorry tough for me not be be partial being from Roseau originally.

Warriors

Tonights contest is only a glimpse of what is to come in the section playoffs. Brainerd is on a nice roll right now and does have a team that will compete. Roseau is still Roseau and there is no doubt they will bring their best effort tonight. What the fans want tonight, they should get. Two solid teams, a great atomosphere (thanks Student Section!), and hopefully a Warrior Win! Although both teams will play to Win tonight, the more important win will come in a few weeks. With some respect to the Spuds, we hope Section 8 is represented by one of the two teams at the Civic Center tonight! Hats off to both teams and here's to a Great Night of Hockey! (and of course the Pre-Game at Sheps!)

Sounds like it will be wall to wall at Shep's. I suggest you be at the rink early to get a spot. We don't have the capacity like the rinks by 494

Yeah, I see some nice wins against Apollo, Tech, Willmar...
Okay, I will be nice now, they have a good winning streak going, just think Roseau has some nice things coming together with their squad that is again healthy...

Da Brainerd Worrierz

Post by Junior Samples »

Come and listen to a story about a team colored blue
A former fighting Sioux, kept 'em guessing with no clue,
Then one day he was confronted by some rams,
so he turned them into frightened little lambs,

ovine that is, green wool, tasty chops.

Well the first thing they built was muscle into steel,
Kinfolk said "These boys are for real"
Said "Xcel is the place you ought to be"
So they loaded up the bus and drove to St. Pauly.

Energy Center, that is. Fancy Suites, screaming fans.

Well now its time to say goodbye to Roseau and all their kin.
And we would like to thank them folks fer kindly droppin in.
You're all invited back again to this locality
when you get that seeded spot at good ole number three.

Bluesbuddy that is. Slapshooter style, Take your skates off.

Y'all come back now, y'hear?

They also could have lost. It was a one goal game. Congratulations, good win. Don't get too full of yourself, it was one game.

By that comment I'm just saying the shots are kinda decieving almost all of the rams came from the point or poor percentage places... And both goals scored on brainerd coulda been prevented if they defense didn't make bad decisions in the offensive zone on the first one and if the defender didn't assit roseau on the second one... I'm gonna go ahead and milk the crap outta this win for brainerd they deserve it!

You had that pegged oldtimer except the team, the building's still smoldering! =D>

Roseau got two odd man rush goals and just missed a couple more, allz in the 1st period #-o Archibald made the adjustments between periods and Da Worriorz controlled the play from there on out. The only real pressure the Lambs put on after that was when Da Worriorz were short handed (3 or 4 times) and the final minute and a half when the goalie was outta da net [-(

Wallow in it today but time to get back to work monday, this team ain't done, still have some spuds to mash :-$

They kept it hidden well and lived to tell ...

Although being outshot something like 37-28, Roseau's ability for quality shots was limited at best. Most of their shots came from the 4:1 advantage they held on power plays. Brainerd had better opportunities to score and they missed opening this game up with three pipes which the Roseau netminder couldn't see.

Next victim: Moorhead. It's going to be a battle down at the barn

The blue train is nearing runaway speed. Will the Spuds from Moorhead be able to derail it?

Stay tuned!

Good win Brainerd... I was wrong about this game...

But, it's one game, probably the only big win that Brainerd can point to in its history... Long time State Tourney guy, and I don't recall seeing the Brainerd squad make to St. Paul in my 36 years of going Tourney...

Good luck in the next month...
