East seems to have been doing nothing but pounding the net as of late..but not getting goals.

This is the game that their hard work pays off..

5-2 East.

EDIT: I made this point not paying attention to East have a game Monday night and scoring 6 goals..

Hope they didn't blow their proverbial wad!!

AV did not look like anything special last week when they played Burnsville. I see East handling this one pretty easily.

It all depends on what team shows up for Valley.. They looked aweful against bville and then took the jags to ot.. Special teams has been a big concern as of late for the eagles.. i see this one being close..

AV 2-1

I know Heuer is still out, Michaelson I believe still will be as well but I think Pedrie will be back after missing the last 2 games.

Not surprised by this. I'm not sure why but they played the Varisty game first and I think I heard it was 4-1 after the 1st. Left early this afternoon kids probably didnt get their legs under them. Either way bad result not what I was hoping for considering they have played some tight games with good teams lately. Been a frustrating year to watch as they have some young talented players but to not have a win against a quality team yet unless you count Lakeville South or Red River who beat Roseau in the Grand Forks tournament. Something needs to get figured out though to make it happen before sections. Need some more creative players offensively and speed has hurt in some games against those top teams as well.

Anyone with a little recap on this game later tonight though thank you!

Nolan Meyer with the hat trick for the Hounds. Interestingly, shots were seven apiece in the first period, yet East came out of it with a 4-1 lead. Collin Olson started in goal for the Eagles and was pulled after giving up four goals on East's first six shots. Aaron Gretz then held East to three goals on 22 shots.

13 goals in their last two games is certainly a hopeful sign for the East offense.
