One Mpls team in 10-11

Post by MrBoDangles »

I've heard a few times now that Mpls East will be done this year. The main reasons I've heard are graduation and the lack of incoming players. Anyone have the inside scoop? Ten years sure has changed the Mpls landscape.

Seriously?

Boy this would be sad. Even with all the demographic changes, with the Dino-mites, City of Lakes hockey, etc. going down to one HS team for the 250,000 people will be another blow.

I'm sure Roosevelt, South and Edison don't have many players but perhaps Mpls East should be Wasburn and West should be Southwest.

Who knows.

Will they stay in the Two Rivers Conference? They would not be challenged and it would not be fair to the other teams in the conference. Would think they would want to move to a premier conference so the youth talent will stay..... The talent is there for a VERY good team next year and the near future could be even brighter.

If you're referring to the Mpls Park players, most of them will be going the private school route.

They will have a great group of jrs next year. If the program makes the right moves the kids should start staying.
