FALLS/HIBBING

Post by INDUS »

The puck went in and out so quick that the referee, who wasn't in the best position, didn't see it go in. The puck went in the middle of the net. Why doesn't the falls coaching staff question the call?, You know that Decenco would have. The difference of the game was the falls started hitting hibbing and they couldn't take it.Hibbing had a few kids that couldn't take a hit and started crying about it. If you are physical with Hibbing, you will take them out of their game.

Thats exactly what you don't do, arguing with referee's doesn't tend to help you in the long run.

tromp kept hibbing in it

And what point are you trying to make with that statement? Yes they had their chances but didnt score the falls had a goal but the refs didnt call it, they game should of ended up 6 to 3. And just to clear one thing up going into this game, I like how the hibbing kids were in the corner punching jon mcdonald at the end of the game, and the hibbing fans call us cheap.

I just want to point out that a lot of Hibbing fans said that Virginia is bad for tying the Falls.... Falls has a good team this year and no one should look past them.

I agree, We have some very good teams in our section. Its hard enough, too many other sections don't think our section is even going to be competitive at state.

I think it's because we don't have a Warroad like team that goes every year, so our teams don't all have the experience of playing at the state tournament.

Section 7A has great parity. Your right, we don't have teams that go every single year like STA and Warroad. Don't get me wrong those other sections have very good, competitve teams but 7A's parity is what makes this section so great. Pretty much in any given season Falls,Hibbing,Virginia,Marshall could win and compete at state. Yes the last couple of teams that went haven't had much success but past years with Marshall,Hermantown, and Hibbing and even when falls went a while back they've competed well. I think the 7A winner could be a sleeper in this years tourney.

Yes, I agree, 7a, gets the most crap from 4a in my opinion, and some in 8a which is bogus because we don't play most of their teams anyway. as far as the state tourney is considered, I fully agree, I think if we can just get past that first game with a win, we'll do fine.

Sometimes you have to play tough to compete.

Corrin made a few of those young D for Hibbing look foolish. Hibbing has a good team but very young, they tried to get the falls off their game by trying to get in fights, not a bad move after what happened last year. Falls has come along way from the beginning of the year. What is up with that crazy pp with Youso infront of the net? its working, and so is the pk for the falls.

yes, corrin did make them look foolish. When a guy like him has that kind of skill, you have to take the body. Falls learned you have to take the body with Adam Johnson. I never saw them trying to get into fights just hitting hard. Its boys hockey not womens hockey!
