SECTION 3AA

Post by Goldfishdude »

I didn't see any latest thread pertaining to this section.

Apple Valley, Eagan, Cretin, Woodbury seem a lock for top 4 seeds, with Eagan #1??? Is Eagan a superior team as a #1, or is a close #1?

Do ANY of the teams like Park, Rosemount, Sibley, Hastings or Eastview have upset capabilities?

Hastings could pull off an upset.

Eagan totally deserves the #1 spot. They have beat the most of teams they were suppose to beat handedly and have played good teams well all season.

1. Eagan
2. Woodbury/Cretin. Depends who wins next time these two play
3. AV
4. Woodbury/Cretin
5. Hastings
6. Eastview
7. Sibley
8. Park
9. Rosemount

Eagan #1

Cretin #2
Woodbury #3

Apple valley #4

I dont see ANY of the other teams an upset threat unless one of the top 4 plays horribly bad. Eagan and Cretin in the FINAL, Eagan moves on to its second State Tournament appearance, second this decade. And the future looks bright... 8)

#1 - Eagan
#2 - Woodbury
#3 - CDH
#4 - AV

I see a Woodbury/Eagan Final. Rematch of the D8 Bantam final from 4 years ago. This one goes 3 OTs with a 3-2 Woodbury win.

At this time, you have to give Woodbury a higher seed than Cretin since the Royals have defeated the Raiders.

If AV can play Eagan tight again or even get the upset, something they haven't done all year, they could pick up the #3 seed because of blowout losses to Lakeville South and Burnsville that CDH suffered. Also remember when voting on these games the head coaches from Eagan and Woodbury is they get the top 2 seeds like it appears as of now. Why would Woodbury help vote Cretin to play them a 3rd time on the year and same goes with Eagan and Valley. Depends if the coahces like their chances playing a 3rd time against a in conference team that has played them tough already.

Eagan plays Apple Valley and Woodbury plays CDH last game of the year for all teams though could maybe help sort the next 3 out. I don't see Eagan letting go of #1. As far as upsets Hastings had Woodbury last week and let it go so maybe them other then that I don't see any happening in the Quarters.
