I haven't seen DL play this year but clearly they have some folks who can put the puck in the net. What, 3 players over 50 points if memory serves.

Having said that, if Willmar shows up to play, they can get by anyone in this section. I'll take Alex to win it all and move on to State.

These Cards have had their hopes crushed by LF the past three years with solid teams so they don't want to just get "close" again.

Willmar over Detriot Lakes 5-3
LF over FF? I hope you are right, but two 6-3 losses already this year doesn't bode well for the Flyers. They have been finding some scoring lately though so it could be a different game this time around. What is the status of Gervais? Heard he was out again.

Score may not show it but that Alex/Apollo game was something special.

Very true about the Apollo game. Score was 1-1 after first and 3-2 Alex after 2 with Apollo leading midway thru the game 2-1. However the wheels did come off in the third. You have to give the Apollo kids credit though, if you would have told somebody it would be 3-2 after two before the game they would have laughed at you.

The Eagles gave Alex something to think about in the 1st as Alex came out flat and were out-hustled to almost every puck. The Cards got some production from their 2nd and 3rd line as well as the usual production from Williams-Vangsness-Thompson line that they have come to expect.

Eagles netminder played well in the early going but was overwhelmed in the 3rd as Alex stepped up their game. Should be a good rematch with Willmar on Saturday in Alex

Any word on if Tanner Lane (D.L.) is coming back for his senior year or going to juniors? It would have been fun to see him this year down at the Excel...
