[- private schools (who by the way do not develop talent from the ground up but instead get recruits, hire coaches and build programs off of the hard work of communities who do develop talent. Think Breck or any other private school spends one dime on youth hockey? Think they fund raise to get their U-8 numbers up by offering low cost hockey? Think they train youth coaches so their programs in 10 years can compete? Think they worry about what to do with girls who don't make the team?) ]
Correct. Private High Schools do not fund raise to get their U-8 numbers up. Public High Schools do not fund raise to get their U-8 numbers up either. That is the job of HOCKEY ASSOCIATIONS.

Hockey Associations do not (or should not) discriminate against players that go to either public or private schools. In fact, in my hockey association, some of the most prolific financial supporters have children that attend private schools and attended these schools while participating in youth hockey. Students attending private shools are not "transfers". But even if they were, so what?

The teams that opt to play in Class A when they could compete in Class AA do their players a disservice that would like to try to play in college. College coaches are looking to see how players perform against the competition they are likely to face in college no against weak teams. Winning against a team 10-0 does nothing to establish if those players can be effective beyond high school.

Sad, too, in the semi-final game that the Warroad kids didn't have to test their internal limits, from which so much is learned, to get to the championship. It looked like a skate in the park. In the end, it won't mean what it could if they haven't had to truly go out and battle for it.
HA so if warroad and anyone else who was good moved up, wouldnt that still leave some team thinkin i wonder if we were really the best?

Especially not 10-0 in the semi finals. Some teams even need to pull their goalie when up by 9 to insure they set scoring records, I mean to try and make sure they hold on to a victory

I'm just happy that both finals will be great matchups. In each class, the two best teams will be going at it to be crowned State Champs. All four teams have clearly played well enough to deserve their opportunity.

Not saying the current system is ideal, but we'll get to see the best that Minnesota girls hockey has to offer in each game. I wouldn't want to bet too much on either outcome.

I love when people make themselves look stupid. Grow up and let the Warroad girls do their own talking on the ice. The girls are not interested in the politics of the situation. They are and have been just playing hockey and playing very well I might add. Everytime someone as stupid as you are posts it brings negative attention towards a situation that detracts from what the girls are accomplishing on the ice. If you really do care about these girls and are not here just to stir the pot delete your account and never look at a message board again. The state championship trophy does not say awarded by girlshighschoolhockeyforum. :-$

They did not pull their goalie, she skated to the bench during a delayed penalty, I am sure out of instinct, not to intentionally rub it in the other team's face. It was not as completely disrespectful as everyone is making it sound.
