Marshall is of lesser quality and who wouldn't rather play them than Virginia. I have all the confidence in the world that Hibbing can win the section no matter who their playing. Playing Marshall increases you chance but I also believe Hibbing can beat Virginia. If we were 0-2 against them I'd be scared but Hibbing can play with anyone in the section.BigWorm wrote:Fine scared they can't beat Virginia again. If Virginia loses they will be relieved because they would be playing a team of lesser quality in the finals, Duluth Marshall.

I expect Virginia to hope the same goes for Hibbing tonight. If Marshall's goalie shows up this one will be very close. The matchup I am looking at is Marshall Fowards vs. Virginia D. The devils defense has been very good this year and if they slow down Hurley and co. they should have no problem.

We are just replying to your chants buddy. I will be at the game today, and I hope Marshall dominates!!!!!!!!!BDfan wrote:and a "hang the jackets" sign is inappropriate?rangehockeyfan79 wrote:Puckranger, No not mixed up at all. The game was in virginia last year. Same game they had banners saying" hang the jackets" and whatever else they had. Kid may have been a little older but not to much older. I HAD respect for va untill that game. Thought it was always a good match up/ rivalary.
Didn't some hibbing student rip up those signs??
Doesn't Hibbing always get lectured about their inappropriate chants after every game?
I HAD respect for Hibbing...

Virginia wins the OT thriller. They must feel relieved that they pulled that one out. Marshall gave it there all and had quite a few better chances. The last goal, Elstad kicked the rebound right out the the Virginia player who just had to flip a little backhand for Elstad's head. Myhre played well from the 2nd on, he was very shaky in the first. Hendrickson was a non factor. And the coach Hendrickson looked like he was about to cry after they scored the winning goal. Overall great game to watch.

Glad to see Marshall gave them a run for their money. Marshall could have won that game if they would have shot the puck instead of trying to work a nice play.gophers101 wrote:Virginia wins the OT thriller. Once again, I made the trek up to this game. Marshall looked a lot better in the first, it was kind of even in the second, and then Virginia took it to Marshall in third. I don't know if Virginia picked it up or if it was Marshall playing defensively. Marshall should have finished Virginia, but I guess the Virginia had more heart.
