Ok, I'll jump in.....Alex clearly wasn't on their game today, took too many penalties and paid for it. Murphy showed a soft spot high on his blocker side that the Zephs took advantage of (at least 5 of their 7 goals, maybe 6) came over his right shoulder. Give the Zephs credit, they have some snipers.

That said, I saw Virginia play the 1st period against Htown today and they looked good. If Alex shows up.......and plays their game.....this should be a good game. Both teams are looking for something positive on Thursday so it should be a good game.

I'll take the hometown Cards 4 - 2

i was able to catch the last two periods of this game, and the announcers said alex played better than mahto in the first. but otherwise should be a close game.

Didn't see the game but listened to the broadcast. Alex jumps out to an early 2 goal lead and things looked good. Then went down 3 - 2 after Virginia picked up the pace. Sounds like the Cards played much better than yesterday but came up short today.

Good luck to Virginia the rest of the Consolation tourney. Congrats Cards on a great season, Seniors keep your heads up.
