Is this the best weekend of the year?

Post by east hockey »

First, you have the State Tournament, 22 games compacted into four days. You have over 150 teams playing for nearly four months with this weekend as their ultimate goal, but only 16 make it.

From my standpoint, nearly everything else in life goes on hold during that time (other than the work I have to do, and the wife I try to keep "relatively" happy ).

Then, to top it off, the WCHA first round playoffs are going on this weekend. For UMD , it's the last time a playoff game will be played at the old DECC.

How can you beat this? You can't.

Honestly dirtracer, i may have to say no and disagree with you on this one. Just because breck has had an amazingly good run the last couple years doesnt necessarily mean they should move to AA. Name one other school with less than 500 kids (besides roseau) that can put out consistently good teams at AA level?

i think all private schools should be AA. you may be rite with the enrollment. but almost each section has a private school in it. sta, scc, marshall, etc. and what are they trying to prove being in single A. expectionally the cities teams, they can pull from all over. id take an public school beat down any day!

As long as people enjoy it, keep quoting it. My hill murray alum buds loved it! Almost as much as they enjoy the reefer....
