Best Yet To Come?

Post by Skill Stick »

This year there was a very strong group of seniors. But does anyone think that the class of 2013 could be the strongest in a while. They have a lot of talent already as freshman. Hudson Facshing, Grant Besse, Alex Funk, Max Coata to name a few.

I agree that the '13 graduation year will be a particularly strong class as well.

Not to mention Zach Lavalle, Tyler Sheehy, Jordan Gross, Zach Hartley, Jake Guentzel, TJ Roo, Chase Broten, Parker Reno, Vinnie Letieri among others.

After looking over recent birth announcements I can say, with extreme confidence, that the class of 2028 will definitely be one to remember.

Osterberg and his 61 points belong in this group too.

What if they accelerate? It really could weaken that group? Who do you think will be Mr Hockey?

A couple of them already got offers to go USNDPT and two others have sent in applications at Shattuck.

Too bad most of them will end up taking the junior league route.

Speaking of SSM, they have a few talented freshmen in Ian McCoshen, Taylor Cammaretta, and Willie Raskob.

According to the Shattuck statistics site, those three in particular are having phenomenal seasons. Would've been fun to see them play high school, but they're are definitely well on their way.

I'm not sure if you guys know of him but Thief River Falls has a freshman by the name of Chris Forney. I was told that he is Michael Forney's little brother and that he is even better than Michael was. The older Forney was a heck of a player. TRF has something to be excited about for the next few years.

As did others on Star's list, I think he means up and coming '13 graduates, even if they haven't played high-school yet. Guentzel falls into the same category, I believe he played at Woodbury Bantam A this year.

Obviously a thread started by Freshmen dads. Geez! Give the kids some time and quit trying to get the PR train rolling now. It's a marathon - give it a rest. A lot can change in 3 years and many other kids will hit the radar. Good luck to the boys - definitely a skilled bunch but the hype has to stop!

Gross was a stud at OMG, even though he looked disinterested at times...

Played Bantam A for Woodbury. They won state this year and no joke the kid had somewhere around 200 points. Not exaggerating. He will be at Hill next year.

Guentzel is a great player, no question, but he really needs to hit a growth spurt soon or he will have trouble at the next level.
