Section 4AA

Post by Gopher04 »

I know the season just got over, but I thought that I'd throw this out there for a little discussion. Section 4AA has been one of the toughest, if not the toughest, sections in the state. They've provided the State Class AA champions the past 2 years. There seems to be quite a few seniors graduating this year, but there is still a lot of great talent at the 4AA schools. I know it's early, but who do you see coming out of this section next year, and why?

I would have to say the top 3 teams next year in section 4AA will be Hill-Murray, White Bear Lake and Stillwater. Not sure if Roseville can contend again with all they lost to graduation but I would never count that program out with it's strong history.

I'd say all the top teams are going to lose alot. What you are going to see in the SEC is a conference champion with 4 or 5 losses, and in Section 4 a whole lot of teams with a probable chance to win. Hill is graduating alot, Stillwater is graduating alot, and obviously Roseville graduated alot. I wouldn't write off Cretin, and North St. Paul so quickly, and Roseville has a very talented corpe of Sophomores returning as well as ridiculous goaltending talent. It will be a crap shoot at best as to who comes out.
