Totally Orange. Have you seen some of the schedules? 98's, for example (since someone mentioned that age group in particular) have Machine playing one game Thurs., two Fri., and just one game Sat., and plus they are done by 4:00. Icemen, Manitoba Steelers, Synergy, play two games Sat. and don't finish until 10:00 p.m. Even the two California teams (Wildcats and OC) have to put in two games on Sat. and play until 8 p.m., which is really like 10 p.m. to them due to the time diff. If any of those teams make it to semi's at 8:00 a.m. Sunday, how do you think they will stack up against the well-rested boys in Orange?OGEE OGELTHORPE wrote:I thought aboot that, eh?InigoMontoya wrote:Maybe he's French-Canadian?OGEE OGELTHORPE wrote:It's humorous that you spell humor like that.

I hope you don't volunteer your time running the clock in the penalty box. Your math as it pertains to time makes me think that you are from Edina. You have the penalty ending before the clock even starts. I wasn't aware that California was located on the east cost. The time difference is 2 hours earlier, not later. 8:00 pm is 6:00 pm California time. But let's not split hairs.

Penalty, you must be new to Summer tournaments!. Traditionally, out of town teams play 2 games Fri and 2 games Sat. Sunday is left for Semi, Champ, 3rd place or final games. Traditionally local teams play a game on Thursday for scheduling factors. Traditionally, the home tournament team plays on Thursday for fatigue factors.Penalty Box wrote:Totally Orange. The Meltdown was a three game pool play and the S&S four games. But if you played on Thurs. you didn't play on Fri. Thus all teams played 2 games on Sat. Making it the same for everyone. That's Penalties point, the Machine only play one on Sat. They could of set it up to be more even, but they didn't. You get some good draws and some bad draws, both in games and opponents. You play the games your given, do your best, and take the good with bad.

Ha! Not working the clock, manning the beer cooler instead, can't you tell? I noticed that even under the new math I got that time thing wrong, but I was hoping you would all be too drunk to notice. Life goes on, the boys in orange still end up well-rested, and if the CA teams make the semi's on Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. OUR time...it will be 6:00 a.m. their time...right? Whew.hiptzech wrote:Hey Penalty,Penalty Box wrote:Totally Orange. Wonder why the championship games, at least, aren't at the Made?

Agree! The way the tourney is set up for the 98's, all of the teams from the red pool could go 3-1 or 4-0 (except the Synergy probably). Seriously. Top two coming out of blue pool could end up 2-2 at best? Interesting.HITUHARD wrote:As far as the 98's go it looks like the Machine gets to rest on Thur & Fri as well.
