Next tournament up is the Stars and Stripes. Predictions?

As far as the 98's go it looks like the Machine gets to rest on Thur & Fri as well.
Agree! The way the tourney is set up for the 98's, all of the teams from the red pool could go 3-1 or 4-0 (except the Synergy probably). Seriously. Top two coming out of blue pool could end up 2-2 at best? Interesting.
Interesting?? Not so much. Funny is the word. MM must think we all cant read between the lines. No matter, the cream will rise to the top. I guess if you need an easy start, YOU NEED AN EASY START. Too bad its that way. The boys in orange have no reason to hide. Extreemly talented from top to bottom.

Who are you talking about? If I only pick the 99 Machine to win the tourney, that means I hate you? If OG85 wants to cheer for the 98 Icemen, he hates you?Pucksahater wrote:I guess the initial request has been thrown overboard, haters are getting the fire stoked. Wow, you seem a little over sensitive! It doesn't seem to me that any "hating" has begun. relax a little!Pucksahater wrote:I guess the initial request has been thrown overboard, haters are getting the fire stoked. Soon we will have a full hate fest, how typical.
I see the Steelers winning at the 99' level. They are the best team at that age in Manitoba. The lightning at the 00' level will win. The 98' and 01' Orange will do well. Why are the 99' snipers in this tournament? They got beat pretty badly last weekend in the melt down open tournament. This could be a long weekend for that group. Seems like they might have gotten thrown to the wolves to fill a spot.

Hey "Pucksahater" how is my number one fan?? Looks like you are a little sensitive today, did someone spill Orange Kool-Aid all over your carpet or maybe you just woke up on the wrong side of McMoney's bed this morning?? :Pucksahater wrote:I guess the initial request has been thrown overboard, haters are getting the fire stoked. Not sensitive just stating a fact, tourney just started and we already have people complaining that the fix is in. I like banter just as much as everyone else, just didn`t want this thread to turn into typical made bashing. Hey enjoy the show, how do you know so much about hockey when you don`t have a kid yet. Please don`t give the freind excuse.

Box, I love how you take the critism.....Great come back...Those Cali boys will be OK if they make the semis on Sunday, they will be well rested. They typically get up at 5:00 a.m. to drive to practice all the time...Penalty Box wrote:Ha! Not working the clock, manning the beer cooler instead, can't you tell? Icemen, Manitoba Steelers, Synergy, play two games Sat. and don't finish until 10:00 p.m. Even the two California teams (Wildcats and OC) have to put in two games on Sat. and play until 8 p.m., which is really like 10 p.m. to them due to the time diff. If any of those teams make it to semi's at 8:00 a.m. Sunday, how do you think they will stack up against the well-rested boys in Orange?
I hope you don't volunteer your time running the clock in the penalty box. Your math as it pertains to time makes me think that you are from Edina. You have the penalty ending before the clock even starts. I wasn't aware that California was located on the east cost. The time difference is 2 hours earlier, not later. 8:00 pm is 6:00 pm California time. But let's not split hairs.
Wonder why the championship games, at least, aren't at the Made?

More like, the duty of being a local team. Out of town teams are usually assigned later starts to accomodate travel, so the local teams will play the Thursday games. That's pretty standard everywhere, but nonetheless good fodder for the Orange Haters on this forum. Something else to b*tch about ...Penalty Box wrote:Totally Orange. Oh, the perks of being the host team.

I guess Bernie must be stacking the event against the 97 Machine then, making them play till 10PM Saturday while potential Sunday morning opponents are done by 4PM Saturday.Penalty Box wrote:Totally Orange. And he must really have it in for the 96 Minnesota Made entry, who has to play until 10PM Saturday night while potential 7AM opponent, Legacy, is safely tucked away in their beds.
And who gets the 8 AM game on Saturday while 6 other '99 squads are sleeping in, getting some extra rest in preparation for the Saturday '99 playoffs? Why, it's the Orange team ..
There are only so many sheets available. Somebody has to play the Thursday games. Somebody has to play the 7 AM games. Somebody has to play the 10PM games. Clearly in this event, Minnesota Made teams have their share of rough draws, but my guess is, you won't hear them complaining about it.
If we all got to hand pick our draws we would sleep in, be done early and play all of our opponents on their second game when it's our first. That said, 7-13 year old boys are a lot more resiliant than their parental counter-parts and they deal with the schedule just fine - much better than we would, and often times it's those teams who seem to have the hardest draw who over-achieve.
There are 14 Minnesota Made entry's in this tournament with some having the toughest draws in their age group, but the softest schedule of the bunch has been selectively pulled out as 'an example' of Orange schedules. Gimme a break ... this is exactly this type of blatantly libelous posts that chips away at the integrity of the anti-orange conspiracy theorists on this forum and expose them for what they are. Time to give it up.
There is no evil lurking behind the grassy knoll on future rink #3

2002? 2k2 Warriors - very skilled team, experienced for this age group. This will be their second season together after an undefeated first season.
2001? Machine
2000? Machine
1999? Should be one of the best final games pitting the home town Orange against the Selkirk Steelers. Tons of skill both sides and both groups have been together for a good while.
1998? Machine
1997? Team Pepsi - Building for Subway - mixture of size & skill is impressive. Loaded with some of the top kids in North America at this age (who have sprouted early). Dallas Miller (Thompson, MB), Ethan Bear (Ochap, SK), Daniel Blaisdell (Detroit, MI), Tanner Wishnowski (Winnipeg, MB), Ethan Williams (Winnipeg, MB), Ethan Constant (Saskatoon, SK)
1996? - Should see Legacy vs NPI in the Final - should be a great game

Machine will make the finals in the 2001, 2000, 1999 & 1998 Divisions.InigoMontoya wrote:I'm going to say the Machine only make the finals in 3 out of 7 age groups, and only win one championship.
If you count the colored MM teams in the 2002 group as the Machine, they should make that final as well.
The 97 team will be in the final 4, but if they have to play Pepsi in the semi's then I like a Pepsi v Torspo final.
There is no Machine entry in the 96 group.
My prediction on the fate of the Orange ... Machine makes 4-6 finals, wins 3-4 events.
