Any team but Machine or blades.

How are some of the other teams out there doing? Couple things I was curious about: I hadn't heard how the Skate to Excellence teams did in that tournament in Hermantown last month. And, some of the Legacy and Snipers teams did well in the Stars and Stripes last month but can they compete in an Invite level International Cup? I am particularly interested in the 99, 00, and 01 levels as I have kids in that age group.

Ree bok nats pretty weak at 00 level. 50% of the kids are 01's and I don't think any played squirt last year. Kids are skating hard and improving. Good goal-tending.

Great post....thank you!
Can we add 96, 97 & 98's to the list too? Curious on who's looking good & who to watch for at the International Cup these next few weekends.

I know the 97 Nats are going to be playing. They have a nice team. Coached by Steve Yurocuk himself. Steve runs the Reebok Nationals program. Great coach.

Where are they out of? Is the plan to build the 01 team then?

Alot of the 01 's are from B-vill, Apple-v, Savage, One from F.L. Have eagen, bloom a couple other. They will have 01's next year. Just third or fourth year of program, still lacking #'s.

There is a Foothills Elite team based out of the Calgary AB area

from the north both the Wings & Stars '01 teams are solid

Wings are 9-0-1 winning the Showdown & Independent invite

Stars are 8-1-1 winning the Warrior and 2nd at the Independent

Both programs have ages all the way up.

It is a little more laid back...more time for baseball and such

Do you know if either of these programs have iron range kids on them? I'm kind of wondering where the Hibbing, Virgina, Rapids, etc.. kids skate in the summer.

The 96 legacy is probably the best team in the state right now. they won't be at the international cup this weekend, they will be up at subway next weekend and are probably resting.

I think '96 Velocity would give Legacy a run for their money. They won their side of the tourney in Blaine back in May. Have seen both teams play - would be a great match up.

You're specifically touting them as the best team in the state, and you've previously posted intimate knowledge of which games they've had academy players and tourney players (and how many), but you've only "heard" they scrimmaged and beat Velocity?

Right now I'm talking about the 96's, not the 98's.

Not a big deal, but you were talking about the 96 team the first time, as well.

They tied a few months back 4-4 in a scrimmage.
