Advanced 15 Program

Interesting that at teh 95 level, Parker Reno is truly a standout. He is a good player but playing against 94's in the latest AAA tourney, Parker was not even the best defenseman on his team. Please don't take this as a knock against Parker, he is a good solid player........especially against 95 skaters

He is very solid...from what I've heard the past few years its been talked about that the 95 group (as a whole) is a little bit weaker than the previous years...but that's up to individual interpretation, but when Grant Besse scores 30 goals and doesn't make the National team you have to know the 94 group is very strong...nahc wrote:Interesting that at teh 95 level, Parker Reno is truly a standout. No. According to the Advanced 15's director this is one of the strongest age groups to ever come through the program. I know of a few kids that made the team thus far:
Forwards: Fasching, Cammarata, Thie, Moore, Labowski, Cline, Voltin, Valesano, Lundren, Kolman, Sheehy. Don't know the last one.
Defensemen: Reno, Gross, Ausmus, Heinrich, Schuldt, Pietruszewski, Brodzinski
Alternates: Meyer, Raskob
Goalies: Miska, Daniels
Alternate: Dugas
Forwards: Fasching, Cammarata, Thie, Moore, Labowski, Cline, Voltin, Valesano, Lundren, Kolman, Sheehy. Don't know the last one.

Congrats to ALL
Congrats to all of the 102 players. Great championship game and tourney for all.
The championship game went into OT and Light Blue defeated White 3-2.
Blue finished 5-0-1 in the tourney.
Peter Deppert of White Bear Lake scored winner 3 minutes into OT. Miska (12 of 13 saves) and Froom (20 of 21) played very well in nets for Blue. TJ Moore scored first White goal. Kulman, Labosky, Lundgren, and Sheehy along with D Gross and Heinrich all made the NY team from Light Blue.
Dylan Parker played very well the 2nd period and OT for White in net. He stopped 18 of 20 shots. Very quick and agile. Line of Cammaretta, Lodermeier, and TJ Moore really created chances for White team.
Cammaretta, Moore, and Defensemen Reno and Gage Ausmus of EGF made NY from White team.
I thought Miska, Parker, Froom, Sprang, and Dugas all played very well in net during the whole tourney.
I may be wrong, but my son thinks the other GOALIE is Dylan Parker of Duluth EAST NOT Ryan Daniels.
Please confirm back.

According to the Blades website roster for 95's, you have Moore, Cammarata, Hartley, and Labosky. Meyer and Dugas as well counting alternates. Brodzinski isn't on the online roster at least, I don't know where he played. Reno, Fasching, and Voltin all played for the Machine / Breakaway I believe, correct me if I'm wrong. Hope this helps!

Gross has been with the Icemen for several years. He only played one tournament with the blades last fall.muckandgrind wrote:Brodzinski played for the Machine/Breakaway. i think this whole program is a waste of money if your not from the cities. ive watched alot of hockey for the 95 age group over the years and seen very few players like strand, yon and okenson from roseau dominate game in and game out with team such as edina and many other big programs just trying to put a plan together to slow those players down. yet not one of them could crack that 20 man roster. its a joke

Were these guys Varsity players or Bantams? Just curious, because many of the 95's on the final roster played Varsity or Tier I hockey. Not a ton of Bantams.
I think it's more of a before July 1 vs. after July 1. Some were bantams, few were first year bantams. Someone have the breakdown? Before July 1 (last season second year bantam eligible) and after July 1 (first year bantam)?
I think the program does a good job. Of course they miss a few, or the kids don't perform when they need to, but they get most of it right. Remember, there are kids that don't even get in their District process because teams are limited as to the number of players they can send to the initial phase. There are very solid players from some districts that don't get to St. Cloud because the District is large or loaded. There are some holes in the process but it's well run.

Yon & Strand will be 2nd yr Bantams this season. Okasen played Bantams last season and I believe will be HS this season.muckandgrind wrote:watchdog wrote:i think this whole program is a waste of money if your not from the cities. ive watched alot of hockey for the 95 age group over the years and seen very few players like strand, yon and okenson from roseau dominate game in and game out with team such as edina and many other big programs just trying to put a plan together to slow those players down. yet not one of them could crack that 20 man roster. its a joke

The St Cloud week was fantastic in all aspects.
How many games did you go to Watchdog?
In all of the 95 age group games - how many times did you watch the Blades and the machine/breakaway?
Great players made the festival and great players didn't make it.

watchdog, I agree with your observations totally, the so called advanced program has eroded its original intent and guys that should know better are simply playing the political game. My advice if anyone should ask is to save your money and do something else.watchdog wrote:i think this whole program is a waste of money if your not from the cities. ive watched alot of hockey for the 95 age group over the years and seen very few players like strand, yon and okenson from roseau dominate game in and game out with team such as edina and many other big programs just trying to put a plan together to slow those players down. yet not one of them could crack that 20 man roster. its a joke
