CAP: Actually I think its more offensive when people elude to something but don't say it. I am really not sure what your alluding to any way. The 96 Prospects went U16 at the Independent Cup to fill an open spot, they had not planned to even play in that tourney. For the Icecats it is about trying to find the level where the competition will be the best, that is just the state of girls AAA in Minnesota. Many of the best U16s are already playing at a different level so even going to U16 doesn't guarantee anything.capitalist wrote:You could say that the 96 Badgers, Icecats, Prospects, Blades, Score, and LS Stars are the strongest teams around in U14 OR U16. Why then would one or two of them want to evade the others and play in U16? I can think of a reason or two, but I don't want to offend.....
Like I said if you took the top 6 U14 teams and mixed in the badgers and some Canadians it would make for great tourneys. That will most likely not happen. The U14 tourneys will be a mixed bag you will see some of the top u12 teams move up for the July August tourneys and there are many U14 teams that dont have the depth to skate with the top 6 or 7 teams. Summer hockey is not about winning, its a chance to play with kids of like ability, have fun, and get better. As much as loosing 2 to 1 stinks its better then winning 10 to 0 any day.
