I gotta believe this discussion is over based on inactivity.

WPIIA? Mr. Skinner? Marketing/PR guy?

It would be like starting a new AAA team after ten good ones have already been selected. The talent pool is picked over and it's difficult to find more than 3-4 strong players. Those 3-4 players are going to have a hard time committing until you can tell them that you have 15 strong players. It's hard to develop strong players when they skate with nothing but weaker ones. I know, I know, it's about developing players but they have several Catch 22s. It's hard to recruit without a solid core. Even if they had 10 committed families (doubt it) another 10 would be a challenge. So, what do they tell the first 10?

Date of last hype, June 3rd.

We obviously have the right demographic but not sure about the need.

I would think that this would need to be in place as a contract before he could make any commitments to both players and ice.

Mentioned at the spring meetings. See pages 4 & 5. I don't know if it was discussed at last weeks meetings.
Without an affiliate agreement it would be like MM choice league. Do whatever you want, but you can't play usa hockey teams.

I was in Canada last weekend and was told Skinner will open his school-year academy at the Super Rink in September 2012. Sure enough, I checked Skinner's web site and he states that he will launch the program, beginning in 2012. . . .
