Who ever said size doesn't matter? nice list but I have to agree that there are at least 6 that will disappear, a quick check of elite league stats shows that a number of these players haven't peformed as well as you might think. It just goes to show that big guys have to prove they can't play before scouts will give up on them.

There are so many holes on this list it's difficult to know where to start. Some weak players and very suspect heights and weights. Who is Danny California and why do we care what he says? It can't be from any credible source. Can I start my own draft list and post it? I'm a little better than he is at this scouting game. Maybe this is one of the pay to be on lists.

Central Scouting releases the lists in parts. Today they released the European list. Hopefull the NTDP, USHL, and NCAA lists will be released tomorrow or within the next couple of days.

Just so you know, it is a very credible source. Directly from the NHL if thats good enough for you. And no, not a pay to get list or whatever you called it. Thats laughable, that someone would actaully pay to get a list of players. It's not my list, in fact mine is always different. EX1 is correct, (as usual), the league's csb will release more info later. If you want to post your own go ahead, I'd love to view it myself.

I don't know that my wife would agree with you about me being usually correct, but I'd recommend you remove all of the Shattuck players from the list (except for possibly Mike Reilly). Not that they don't deserve to be on the list, but because they don't play MN HS hockey.

Are these only 92&93 kids? I don't see A.J. or hudson on the list.

Whatever. Then I'll be looking for a scouting job as some of these old timers have lost touch. Maybe an old rehashed list but no fresh perspective. I would expect better from anyone credible. All I'm saying is if these guys are flying around, getting paid, and watching a lot of hockey then uncover someone. Give us some new rising stars as the kids are changing so much right now. I see a height at least 3-4 inches off, unless he was in skates, and a couple of skaters that can barely move. Maybe it's as you say and 6 will drop off. You said yourself that your list would be different. Well, that means this list isn't what it should be.

Ya, EX1--I only left the Shattuck kids on the list in case someone wants to actually drive down and see them. I don't. I agree with you Observ...this is the Lazy Scouts List but remember it is the early one also and I only provided it to get some info out there for people if they want to view some of these kids. If they are on the actual radar of a particular scout or team is up to what that scout/team see's in them as you would know. As for the "unturned stone" or "diamond in the rough", their are many and they are on my personal list, but I won't be giving that info out and neither would you. :)

Some 93's are not eligible as I recall. To be more specific, players who turn 18 by September 15 and are not older than 20 by December 31 are eligible for selection. In addition, non-North American players over the age of 20 are eligible. This would mean that late 1993's wait until 2012.

Please correrct me if I am off base.

The heights/weights are measured by somebody affiliated with NHL Central Scouting. So they are legit.

It's a good thing these will change because some of the players on this list look lost in the elite league. I agree with keepyourheadup and dannycalifornia. there is no way some of the players stay on this list.

Potential is the key word here

Post by polverine »

The 2011 Central Scouting list is simply a list of hockey players they see with the POTENTIAL to play at the highest level. There are many players NOT on this list and may never make a Central Scouting list. To over analyze this early list is a waste of time. Best to start paying close attention after about May 1st, 2011 and save your time.
