BE CAREFUL

I know Greenway was once a great program but last year we scheduled this tourn and they only had 3 teams. Virginia, Eveleth, and Greenway. It made it very difficult to get in another tourn and they had to give us some of our money back. Be sure they have teams before you lock in. Get a list of who is in and call to verify before you send them your money.

Be very carefull when going to a Greenway Tournament, last year my sons team played in the squirt tourney and there was alot of problems with the brackets, it was a round robin, and proper rules of tiebreakers. The team from Eveleth-Gilbert was the only Undefeated team in pool play and played for 5th place. Then they were told the tiebreaker rules before their parents left that night and they were changed the next day and the tournament director said these are the tiebreaker rules from MN. Hockey, which the third tiebreaker was a coin toss (which isn't true). BE VERY CAREFULL GOING TO GREENWAY TOURNAMENTS!!!

We've been going to Greenway for years but ever since the changing of tournament directors, NEVER again. None of the officials wear certified patches which tells you someting about how your game is going to be called. Watched an official get into a shouting match with an upset parent over a BS call that the official blew due to in-experience. The parent caused his team to get a bench minor which set off the coach who added another bench minor and a game ejection. VERY THIN SKINNED OFFICIALS! We had to play the next game which was the same officials who called every little minor infraction. If you want to test your Code of Conduct Policy for your parents, players, and coaches, go to Greenway and see how you fair with the officials.

First of all let me say this. There was a misunderstanding at last years squirt tournament and the problem has been fixed. Our goal is to have competative tournaments that the kids can have a great time at. For people like O'Canada and No Dac Souix fan who hide behind a screen name it is time to grow up.. One of the biggest problems with youth hockey is not the kids, but crazy parents... We will continue to provide fun, competative tournaments and look forward to seeing you this winter. Oh yeah, by the way O'Canada and No Dac Souix fan, my name is Jim Jenson so if you have any questions let me know. Remember, its about the kids and not your egos...

Mr. Jenson, I'm glad you have worked out the problems, I'm sure our team is going to be there this year for the squirt tourney. Your program is on the rise. I think all parents are looking for in going to tournaments is a well run and fair tournament, hopefully you can provide that now. The parents spend alot of money to go to these tournaments hotels, gas, food, etc... . So I think they have a say if things aren't run right and there is a possibility that things are going to be amiss. Trust me no ego here, just want the kids to have fun and enjoy the game :D . Good Luck and see you this year.
