Chris Hickey??

Last I heard of him, he was one of Cretin's best players punching his ticket to the WCHA, as well as a 7th round draft pick. Last night, I decide to go to the St. Thomas--Bethel game at the MIAC showcase. I see a scratched player from St. Thomas sitting in the stands with a number 7 on his team jacket, and I think, "He looks vaguely familiar," and I look on the roster and see it's him! What happened here? Did he just flame out in division I, or does he just want to enjoy hockey in college? I wish him the best regardless.

Hickey is a little banged up, from what I heard he should be back soon. He joined St Thomas mid season last year and looked very good. I was at some of those MIAC games over the weekend. Lots of nice players up there. Tommies, Hamlin and Gustavis looked a little better than the others.
There are a fair number of kids in the MIAC that passed on D1 to get a chance to enjoy college and still play some extremely good hockey.
