MN Blades U18 vs Chicago Mission Midget Major

Post by StillAnEagle »

This one may sink fast since the HS season started, but I'm curious if anyone knows so I'm giving it a shot.

A MN Blades team (thinking U18s) played the midget major Chicago mission team on 9/11 and again on 9/17 of this year. They split the games with each team winning a game 5-3. Who was on this team? Weren't all the good MN HS players playing in the elite league in September?

I know the Rath's and they are plenty good enough to play HS Elite league... What about the rest of the team - players just as good or better than the Rath's?

What exactly are you after here? Seems like you are fishing for some sort of affirmation of your own place among high school hockey players. Or maybe you are still sore over getting screwed by the Elite league. In any case, get over it fast. You are correct - the high school season is underway and no one gives a rip about U18 Blades, Chicago Mission or Elite league snubs.

Settle down shakey... I've been out of high school hockey for 15 years and the only soreness I suffer is due to mens league! There's a lot of debate out there about the quality of Tier 1 Midget being overall better than MN HS hockey. I was just wondering really how good this blades team was that beat one of the great programs in Tier 1 Midget.
