Blaine at Maple Grove 12/9

Post by ManBearPig »

Who comes out on top in this NWSC showdown of two Section 5AA favorites?

Maple Grove is being led by Senior Goalie Ryan Coyne, who is sporting a .931 save percentage.

Blaine is being led by Senior Forward Jonny Brodzinski, who has 7 points in 2 games.

Should be a good one......Looking at each roster I would suspect Maple Grove to win, but with the way they play Blaine it would not surprise me if Blaine came out on top.

Thoughts and predictions?

Could go either way, although Maple Grove is expected to do much better, IMO these teams are much more evenly matched than most would think. Maple Grove barely squeaked by Anoka, but may have more depth than Blaine can match, but Maple Grove doesnt have anyone who can score like Brodzinski.

Maple Grove 5-2.

Maple Grove has better goaltending and has 2 deep lines, as well as four very solid D-Men.
