On the other hand if that were true I would have done a little better in the first four weeks! Truth be told, in my mind both of these games were tossups and I just got lucky.

P.S. Eagan over Lakeville South 2-1 in a pretty big upset last night - I bet Lakeville South's coach is wishing his team's play would have been a little more predictable!

Roseville 5, Hastings 0

I thought Hastings would make it closer than this but Roseville's Erika Allen made 20 saves on 20 shots for the shutout. In the four complete games she's played this season her save percentage is a remarkable .978.

Silent But Deadly and mnhkylvr correctly predicted the 5-0 score tonight and net 2 points each. Everyone else got the winner right and picked up one point each. For the 3 games played so far this week our leaders are:

MNHockeyFan - 5 points :)
Silent But Deadly - 3
FlyingWarrior - 3
OntheEdge - 3

Tomorrow night's game: Grand Rapids/Greenway vs. Mound-Westonka

Unbelievable game tonight by Mound-Westonka's Taylor Kuehl. Taylor scored all 4 goals (including the overtime winner) to power her team past Grand Rapids/Greenway, 4-3.

Perennial contender OntheEdge was one of four to predict Mound-Westonka's upset win AND he got the final 4-3 score correct, picking up 2 points to pull into a tie for the lead (I had a feeling my good fortune wouldn't last  ).

So, going into tomorrow's heavy calendar of six games, we have:

1. MNHockeyFan and OntheEdge - 5 points each
3. FlyingWarrior - 4 points*
4. loki, Silent But Deadly and Hansonbrother - 3 points each

* picked winners in all four games so far!

Thanks MNHockeyFan. Finally I got a score right. By the way, I got all 4 games right too. I think its going to be tougher to get them all right this Saturday.

Sorry, Edge, my oversight.

Scores from today's action, so far:

White Bear Lake 5, Mounds View 2
Minnetonka 2, Benilde-St. Margaret's 1 OT
Rosemount 4, Lakeville South 4 OT
Hill Murray 7, Grand Rapids/Greenway 4
Edina 6, Eden Prairie 1

Roseville vs. Stillwater - not in as of 10:15

No correct scores today (so far at least) which is a bit of a surprise!

Total points with the one game to go:

MNHockeyFan, FlyingWarrior and OntheEdge all have 8 points and each of us has Roseville winning. Nobody else has 7 points. MNHockeyFan has the score at 4-3 Roseville while FlyingWarrior and OntheEdge predicted 3-1.

It was Roseville over Stillwater 3-2. Great game with Stillwater pressing hard and dominating at the end...two rockets off the pipe in the 2nd. Alas...it was not to be.

Thanks, Brooky for the report. Sorry to hear your Ponies did not come out on top - sounds like it could have gone either way.

Congrats to Antagonist who correctly predicted Roseville's 3-2 win. But our leaders this week are:

1. MNHockeyFan, FlyingWarrior and OntheEdge - 9 points each
4. Silent But Deadly and Hansonbrother - 7 points each
6. Six tied with 5 points each

Look for a combined Week 6 & 7 to be posted shortly. This will include some Holiday Tournament first round match-ups through New Years.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Sounds like Stillwater is the superior team and Roseville just came up with another lucky win.
