Edina white (#2 ranked team in let's play hockey) took last place in Eden Prairie tournament this weekend--only team not to get a point (12teams)

Winnipeg 1-0over Edina

OMG 3-2 over Edina

Eagan 1-0 over Edina

Interesting how they are ranked number 2, must be because they are called Edina

Note that the Eagan 1-0 win was due to a forfeit as Edina could not get to the rink in the storm last Saturday. They did loose to Winnipeg and OMG though so better knock then out of the top 10.

Dad C ---I find it hard to believe that Eagan who is roughly 30 minutes away which probably was more like 45 in the snow made it to EP and Edina who is 10 minutes didn't show.

If that was the case I'm pretty shocked...and Girlhockey... teams win and lose all the time thats why the rankings are updated week to week. Personally rankings don't mean jack as its the team standing at the end of the year that matters and im guessing it won't be yours.

Frankly, I too was surprised that the Edina team chose not to play that game. Maybe the parents are all woosies who were afraid to drive all the way to EP Com. Cntr. (what is it, 5 miles from Braemar?).

But I am pretty sure that they did forfeit rather than play the game.

The fact that Edina couldn't make it is lame. Eagan, Winnipeg, Wayzata etc... all made it. Wonder what the story is/was???? At any rate, the team is ranked where they are because they deserve it....good squad.

Edina did not show up for the final game against Eagan. Elkriver showed up, wayzata, Eden prairie, Eagan, chaska, etc. . . But Edina didn't. Guess is that because they lost the first two games they knew they could not make it out of the bracket. Only problem is is that it affects other teams.

It was Stillwater Black that beat Minnetonka Black 6-5 in OT. Stillwater Red beat Tonka Black 4-1 on Saturday.

From the parents I talked to it was a communication breakdown that caused Edina to not go to the game. Some very upset parents who fully expected to go and play.
