Worriors verse Injuns

Post by northwoods oldtimer »

Who you boys got for this one? No cancellations tonight the Worriors coming to town pulling in with a 6 and 2 record to face the Injuns of Grand Rapids after a fresh defeat of the cake that is Edina. Should be a dandy match up.
Video Scout, Bluesbuddy, Syd Barrett still follow with the team? Do any of the old posters frequent this site any longer?

Grand Rapids 4 to 2. Too bad the teams didn't play this weekend during the star of the north. would have been a treat for the F.L. pee-wees to see a "up north" game like this. Go rapids

Should be a good game at the very least, It will be on MNHOCKEYHUB live as, I am keeping it there.
Also I believe it will be streamed live on the radio tonight at Brainerd Radio.net

I will post some updates during the game, in between periods.

Ouch #-o

Pretty tough to win games when you decide to play shorthanded most of the game

Hat's off to Da T'chick's, they sound like the real deal :-k

Grand Rapids is the real deal. I think so anyway.

Quite a lopsided victory for the Chicks against the Worriors. I knew Brainerd was in trouble when only skating 13 skaters with Rapids depth of 3 good lines. Did not take long for Rapids to show some firepower in the game. Brainerds 1 line is very nice but that team is well short of quality D after the first set leave the ice, maybe some injuries or something. The 1 line logs way too much ice in last nights game to be overal effective. Sounds like Bemidji has the proper depth this year to make a run at the 8AA crown. Brainerd is just too short on numbers and skill to carry the season and title. Spoiler, perhaps. Rapids looked to be firing on all cylinders after coming off a nice run down in the metro so it was intriguing to see what they would bring to the table taking on a 6 and 2 northern AA club. The 1 line for Rapids looked stellar in this tilt of northern powers.

Did brainerd's coach get tossed? why? who reffed this game?
1 line will never win big games against quality competition. Brd needs some players to step up, if possible, to make a run at the section.
