Edina 3
Duluth East 1

After 2

East looked much better in the 2nd than they did in the first, with a lot of puck control towards the middle of the period. Their inexperience on defense showed, though--all three Edina goals have been breaks by single players (2 by Fogarty, 1 by Cote). Randolph scored the East goal. Though their top players are getting the goals, I have to marvel at Edina's depth.

Karl, are you at the game? I'm here and I agree with that assessment...

Wasn't at the game; I paid the ransom fee to watch on the NSC's website. I'll give some more thoughts on the thread about the game...

Anyone know what happened in the Virginia-Mahtomedi game? I had a video feed for the first period, but it bogged down to a standstill at the beginning of the second.

Mahtomedi won 5-2 against Virginia. Virginia started out strong and got a 2-0 lead before the wheels fell off. They had PLENTY of powerplay chances but couldn't convert. Mahtomedi goaltender played very well.
