You may be right.MNHockey75 wrote:After what I saw yesterday, both these teams are top 20 clubs but have some weaknesses. EGF's defense is a little weak and Hermantown lacks depth up front. This is a possible state tourney matchup though.
Hermantown - 4
East Grand Forks - 2
I believe the EGF defensmen are pretty good, but young.
If you are alluding to the goals they gave up yesterday, they only allowed about 20 shots, but they had their back up goalie in.
I believe that is the first game he has played in this year, so he might have been a bit rusty.

The quality of shots were a different story. Though the back-up was in, he didn't have a chance on the majority of them. The D-men will progress, but they're nothing special. As a group they're probably better than TRF with Audette out, but none of them have the potential Chris Forney (So.) has. Warroad has Carson Gray, but they lack depth back there. Hermantown has one of the best groups I've seen this year, but they pretty much have only one line.TTpuckster wrote:You may be right.MNHockey75 wrote:After what I saw yesterday, both these teams are top 20 clubs but have some weaknesses. I'll take my chances with the EGF D corps. They are in a bit of a funk lately but last night Poolman was out for his shennanigans on Tuesday but get him back with Christianson, Ausmus, Mero, Dahlen, with help from Kliner and Peltier, they will be fine and I do think a couple of them ARE something special.MNHockey75 wrote: The quality of shots were a different story.
