I've seen him play a few times. Overall he is pretty solid; great save against FLake in OT earlier this year.

Charlie Lindgren has kept lakeville north in their games and will move lakeville far, and will keep them in games with tough teams. EX: Eagan, Eden Prairie(first 2 periods), and Grand Rapids.

Tim Shaughnessy is a decent goaltender; he plays well for the most part, stands on his head sometimes, but also gets caught off guard. (Like most goalies) But Tim has something not many goalies have: a strong defense in front of him. This plays to his benefit BIG time.

He's good but not among the best. Like what I said before --> Honorable Mention

junior anders franke needs to be mentioned, this is his 3rd year starting in goal for elk river. with elk rivers schedule being one of the toughest in the state so far his .899% save should climb with a few easier teams instead of ep,bsm, edina,gr,mg. alot of goalies have the stats, but play easy schedules

I don't think there is any one truly dominant goalie this year. A lot who could be great on any given night, but none that dominate night in night out throughout the season.
EP two out of three.

alex lyon is on top of my list, lit up the elite league and an impressive save % with a very average team in front of him this season......i like lyon

I agree with that also. It's always been a strong class for goalies. But another nod towards Lindgren. He's doing something the rest of them aren't. And although save perecentages almost always tend to go up with higher shot counts, he's taken that a step further. He's fun to watch too!

The Stillwater goalie looks very good, and no way the Franke kid is one of the top goalies in the state. Watched him Vs Eden Prairie and did not look good. Small and down to much - imo.

Best goalie in the state is Alex Lyon. Bodhi engum is my runner up. Bohdi has been a little shaky (the whole team for that matter) but he can really keep his team in the big games. Lyon is fabulous, great stats, on a bad team. he is definately the anchor to L.O.W, a team that might pull some upsets come February

alot of people like stillwaters goalie, there schedule doesn't look that difficult, bsm the last game of the year is about it for top teams. inyourhead that ep game could've been 15-0 from what i saw, my favorite team could barely get it out of the zone that night. it wasn't one of the teams best games, but not many teams have had great games against ep.

Lyon and Lindgren see a lot of pucks, and consistently have to play at a high level to keep their teams in games. Bitzer has had a great year for Moorhead. Shaughessy for HM is getting better as the season goes on.

Gretz for AV is having a pretty good season too, maybe not quite at the level as Lyon or Lindgren, but still a very good goalie.

Rhino, how many screen names are you going to use to bash a certain goalie? Enjoy Blaine :D :D

Give 'em little credit

I was super impressed with Jeanetta from D. East. I'm surprised he hasn't gotten more press, given their schedule and his high save percentage. He forced overtime against Wayzata, and lost n a garbage goal.

Probably a typical metro bias. (I'm no hater, I'm metro myself). Girard, Engum, Shaughnessy -- they're all solid. But if JoJo stays hot through February, look for East to make a serious run at the top.
