While we are talking about the Wayzata Holiday Star Tourney:

How did those participating feel about the officiating?

Where were the promised “Live Tourney Results”?

Looks like there were a few upsets at the 12U-A level. Does anyone have all of the scores from the 12U-A level?

I did see the over-rated Edina U12A girls lost to Blaine, and dropped another game on Sunday. 1 win & 2 losses for the weekend.

Not sure if Wayazata won the whole tournament? But they looked like the best team over the weekend.

Blaine 12UA Takes Title at Wayzata Holiday Star Tournament

by gretchen severin posted 01/03/2011

The Blaine 12UA team capped off their holiday break by participating in the Wayzata Holiday Star Tournament for their third tournament of the season and making it as many championship appearances. With only two returning 12UA players on the team, this young team’s first challenge was a very strong Edina team and the girls took the challenge head on and came out with a 2 – 0 victory. The girls game back on Saturday to face Highland Central and kept Highland at bay and went on to win 3 – 0. The girls brought their game on Sunday to face their toughest challenge yet, a very strong and deep Wayzata team, in the championship match up. Wayzata came ready to play and set the fast pace of the game. The girls worked as a team and held on to a 1 – 0 lead to win their second championship of the season. Goalie Morgan Cin had an outstanding tournament with a shut out in all three games and blocking over 60 shots on net for the weekend.
