Mahtomedi had a solid tourney.. There 1 st line had 10 out of there 11 goals this tourney(there all juniors too). There first game Mahtomedi goalie did not have a good night, and they just played a 3-4 ot loss to GR which is debatably one of the top AA teams.. I think they had a decent tourney. They finally found themselves some goal scorers.

Solid? Hibbing put them into running time, I wouldn't say solid.

Hate to break it to you, but the final score is really all that counts, particularly in the ranking. No one is interested in your excuses about why they lost.

I don't believe I made any excuses, I said Virginia played terrible. That's not an excuse. I also acknowledged that the other team played better that night, particularly their goalie. You on the other hand like to make it seem like Hibbing had nothing to do with the loss and that the other team got lucky.

P.S. even if the first goal was a fluke and they got two empty netters, the bluejackets STILL would have lost 3-2 and you'd be looking for something else to blame the loss on.

By talking about hitting the pipe 3 times, fluke goals for the other team, and empty net goals. I'm not saying that those things didn't happen, All i'm saying is that the game is over and none of those things matter. It is what is is and the score reflects the game whether you like it or not. I wouln't have said anything at all except for the fact that this isn't the first time you've done it, you talk big when Hibbing wins and whine big when they lose instead of crediting a team who beat them. and that's all i'm going to say about it, i'm certainly not trying to argue with you

Lakeville north had a bad game against Virginia. Also, had 2 (goals) called back... one was rediculous to call no goal (ref said it was high stick on lakeville, when clearly lakevilles player wasnt near it and the Virginia player tiped it), also in the Grand Rappids game they also had 2 goals taken from them, in one case the light even came on for a goal and they didnt call it one, and one a backhander where the goalie had a great save but fell back into the net which would be a goal. Lakeville could have easily swept the tourny, although they were outplayed by Rapids, but also controlled play at times. P.S. Hibbing was a sub par team, and #7 will be good but has alot of maturing to do.

Whoa - Inhsshaun ( whatever that is) Virginia outshot roseville 2-1 (36-18 or so) and I heard rapids outshot you like 50-20 - so you got a good goalie - that's great - good for you!!!! But when you get outshot like that you don't say you should win all the games!!!!

truthfully they did outshoot lakeville north, many from outside with bad angles. just like the ep vs Eagan game, and Eagan still won. the shots were like 45 to 28.. and virginia was a terrible team... they have one line and would lose 9 of 10.. they had their win congratz for them. but thats all i will give that team.

Actually the shots were 49-22, that's more than double the shots for Virginia. I don't care how you want to spin it, they obviously had WAY more puck control during that game. And they have more depth than one line. Their second line has done well and their 3rd line has been getting points also. Virginia is not a "terrible team" they're a top ten team in the state in their class and they beat your team, get over it.

Having watched both virginia and hibbing over x mas .I'd be surprised if hibbing can beat virginia when it counts. Virginia is to big, doesn't take penalties and is deeper. That said ,hibbing is over do to finally win the region.

I agree fayal flyer i think when it counts the virginia seniors will step up and get it done one more time, then hibbing will have their run over the next few years
