Virginia 3
Albert Lea 1

Hibbing 6
Mayo 5

Of note I went to watch wrestling today because they have a "national" duals tournament in Rochester. The Apple Valley heavyweight lost his match and started throwing chairs, one on to the mat, one towards the stands, and one into another teams wrestler hitting him right in the head. A fight nearly breaks out between the two coaching staffs while this poor kid is laying on the mat half unconscious.

And here I though t the AWA folded

As much as you hear about it stuff like recruiting here on this board go to a wrestling match, man we're tame. They even have a school down here where the coach was suspended 1 year for recruiting, I don't think that's happened in hockey.

How did Brandon, FL do?

They had something like the nation's longest winning streak ever a few years ago. Problem? Oviedo High was loaded too. We are such a big state that there are so many classes. One was a lock to win 3A and the other would win 4A.

Schools are two hours apart. Wouldn't you know the Brandon coach wouldn't schedule a dual meet?

Poor kids got robbed.

I'll take your word. Never been to a wrestling meet.

They went 3-0 and were pretty dominating beating Stewartville 55-6, Owatonna 48-12, and Glenbard Ill. 43-18. It will be interesting to see how they match up with Apple Valley, both have a weakness at Heavyweight. It should come down to bonus points and who can avoid them.

I thought those two teams were clearly the best.
