Ep-4
Edina-1
WOW, drove 35 minutes to see a great battle between two powerhouses and little do I know Ep just takes it to Edina. Edina looked slow and uninterested. Especially Edinas D really hurt them, slow slow slow. WOW, never seen anyone move slower than #4 on Edina..

Centennial is a good hockey team even though we won 3-0 it was not easy. They were pretty balanced and their goalie was put in some tough spots with turn overs- their time in penalty box cost them

I have a feeling the Edina JGA dynasty is coming to an end

Edina 4
Burnsville 0

I felt it was a closer game then the final score indicates. With the score 2-0, Burnsville couldn't convert on 2 breakaways and a 3 on 1. Credit to Edina. Nice forcheck and great backchecking all game.

8 in a row but we are trying not to think about that because we are not playing as good as we should be, as of late and need to focus much more on that if we want to keep it going.

I made the drive over to Edina to check out the JGA tourney.
Interesting that they turn off the heat in R1 when Edina isnt playing in the championship game...
Anyhow, looking at the scores, the weekend proved you have to throw the rankings out the window and you have to "show up and play the game".
Eagan and Blaine played solid hockey in spite of thier records. Stillwater has what it takes. Ep gave Mtka a run for thier money in the championship game I saw. EP took three dumb penalties to give Tonka thier three goals and took a 1 goal loss in spite of outshooting Tonka 40 to something...

Tonka still holds thier #1 rank in my mind in spite of losing to Edina in the prelims, but after that if will be intersting to see BB's new rankings.

The rest of the season will be a thriller for those teams which "show up..."
