I was wrong. Here I thought Flake was just an average team in an average conference. For Flake to travel up to Duluth & play Duluth East tough was quite an accomplishment. East is an elite AA team and losing to them shouldn't cause the Flake fans to hang their heads. It's East! I look at that game as a moral victory for the program and the conference. Good thing is, now they can concentrate on facing teams of their ability the rest of the week as the face SEC foes. Go Rangers!
...except they played Duluth Central, not Duluth East...
Was kinda my point...... Sarcasm just doesn't carry very well online.

They should have a half hearted laugh on here.

Four SEC teams took the ice on Tuesday night coming away with mixed results. The most surprising game was Forest Lake losing at Duluth Central 4-1, the Rangers offensive woes continue. They faced an outstanding goalie but I'm sure they were expecting to find the back of the net more than once. The other surprise was Woodbury's 5-3 win against a struggling Irondale team, expected an easier victory for the Royals. Hastings lost to a very good Eagan team 7-3, the Raiders top line continues to put up points, they were involved in all 3 goals. East Ridge came away with a 2-1 home victory over an Eastview team with similar abilities. Thursday's Conference matchups-
Cretin at Roseville (webcast on Fox Sports North Prep Zone)
Stillwater at East Ridge
Forest lake at White Bear Lake
Park Cottage Grove at Mounds View
Woodbury & Hastings are idle

I have to agree with this breakdown. White Bear will take the conference but if Stillwater starts putting the puck in the net they will contend. They switch the lines up more than any team I've seen. But their defense is the best in the conference and their goaltending is excellent as well.
