Joseph LaBate - Holy Angels and his Future

Post by money »

Good afternoon,

With the recent news of college commitments from some of the top MN players - Sit (BC), Everson (Harvard), and Daly(WI) - anybody have any info to where LaBate is taking his talents?

I know his USHL rights are held by Waterloo. I know he and Lucia are the state's two 'A' rated players. Yet, you hear a little more about what schools are interested in Lucia but, really nothing on LaBate. I find that a little odd.

Anyway, just had a couple minutes to inquire. Thanks for any info.

Regards,

A little of the subject....when did Sit commit to BC? As for Joe, he'll have plenty of choices...big body who can score goals, best player in the Elite league down the stretch. IMO

LaBate has a pro hockey frame and some great goal-scorer's hands. Seems like he'd a be a hot property as a (so far) uncommitted player.

LaBate is a nice player. Good hands, shot, and his skating is coming along. He needs to start filling out his frame, but that will come with time and work. I'm interested to see where he'll go in the draft... As for college, he'll go WCHA and I'm guessing he will want to commit soon.
