JGA 2010-2011 regular season scores!!!
Moderators: Mitch Hawker, karl(east)
Blaine
Thanks for the input WT.
I noticed the Blaine scores from Edina. Maybe the Icepuppies are starting to put things together now that we're getting closer to regions.
Not sure if the comment about EP being more consistent is completely accurate. After all, they made it to the finals in two tournaments in two straight weekends. But they shouldn't lose to Blaine.
Maybe they got the SI (Sports Illustrated) jinx of me ranking them too high!

It was interesting - Blaine skated hard and converted on 4 of 5 power plays to come from behind 3-1. Stillwater has to stay out of the box to protect their leads.wildthing wrote:BB,
Blaine over Stillwater was interesting....Blaine is a team to watch. They played far better at the Edina tourney than thier record shows. Good team speed and all out effort
EP won seven in a row but will need to move down a little in the rankings until they get consistent.

Stillwater 0[/quote EP dominated first period and held Stillwater to zero shots on goal - Stillwater rallied and made it a game the next two periods giving up an empty netter with seconds left in the game. EP out shot Stillwater 34-12
I don't know what game you were watching, but Stillwater was thoroughly out played. The only player that kept you guys in it was #24, he is the best goalie i have seen this year.

Minnetonka Stillwater Game
Stillwater ties Minnetonka, 2-2 Good Game. . .did both teams lose fair play? I think so.

Re: Minnetonka Stillwater Game
You mean Tonka ties Stillwater - Tonka pulled goalie and tied game with 0:44 left in game. Both lost fair play points. Questionable calls both ways. It was a thumper though.ffaannhockey wrote:Stillwater ties Minnetonka, 2-2 Good Game. . .did both teams lose fair play? I think so.

Say what you want Stillwater's TEAM is a contender. Their goalie does his part but he did not score the first goal to go up on Tonka early- it took a 5 on 3 for Tonka to tie and they made Tonka move their feet for three periods by grinding it out in the nuetral zone. When they all show up with their lunch pails they are solid.YeahhhBuddayyy wrote:all stillwater has going for them is their goalie

Burnsville 4
St. Louis Park 3
Burnsville was outshot pretty bad in this one, yet had a 3-2 lead going into the 3rd. SLP tied it at 3 midway through the 3rd. Burnsville scored a beautiful breakaway goal with 1:30 left for the win. Great goaltending performance from Burnsville's goalie. SLP will be there at the end of the year. They are my "sleeper" team.

I think we can put the question of who is the best goalie in Jr Gold A to rest. Stillwater #24 would be a top Varsity goalie the way he is playing this year.HalfuhStar wrote:Shots were tonka around 40 and stillwater a little less than 20.. tonka also hit post 2 times.. Stillwaters goalie was solid, clearly.

..thanks "poniesdad" but no chance would he be a top varsity goalie
Pony goalie
If he is varsity material, how come he's playin JGA? (Not that, that is bad)
Was it his choice? Was he cut?

Re: Pony goalie
He chose not to try out for the same reasons alot of kids in JGA don't try out.blueblood wrote:If he is varsity material, how come he's playin JGA? (Not that, that is bad)
