I am certainly no huge fan of Edina (or Notre Dame or the Yankees), but I'm pretty sure that the rule is: until someone actually beats them and forces them to play a 3rd place game, folks are better off keeping their yaps shut. So far the kids are 5-1 and 9-0, and the parents are 1-0 on nights of NOT getting kicked out of a bar.

Nice Blackeye for association!
Way to continue beating a dead horse. As I've said, I like to see Edina lose as much as the next guy but this is rediculous! The Edina coach made a decision that he felt was best for his players. I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision but as a head coach he made the decision that he felt was best for his team, regardless of what "we" might think was right from our couches at home. As best as I can tell their head coach has a very good reputation and has been around the game for a long time. The nature of being a coach requires you to make tough decisions. Some will not be popular, but he is responsible for the safety of his players more than making everyone else happy.

All that said, this is a peewee tournament score blog and I think we continue to disrespect the great hockey community of Roseau more and more by putting all this attention on one Edina team/game. Let's move on already!

True. They just make their association and themselves look
Like idiots. I was thinking it might be good to get on topic before it gets locked

Blackeye?

Edina is a suburb of about 45,000. I don't think the population has changed much in 35 years. The hockey association uses volunteer assistant coaches. Some of the most qualified volunteers - like virtually everyone else on Planet Earth - procreate. (Other species do this too, so while you're at it, let's single out bats in Peru.)

The offspring of the Bantam Head and Assistant Coaches are among the stronger players in the Twin Cities. Genetics may play a role, as we're talking about one father that represented USA Hockey in international competition and another that was an elite NHL player.

Political would be if these kids were on the Pee Wee team and didn't deserve to be.

Nobody's ever made that argument before, but that doesn't make you wrong I guess.
Be kind. Rewind.

Any link to the updated scores from Roseau? Updating live scores should become mandatory for all tournament hosts, IMHO. It should not take much of effort for any association.
