East Ridge cheap plays knocks out WBL Garren David 4 season

Post by iLLuminati_666 »

Last week during there second matchup Garren David was checked brutaly from behind(no penalty was given) giving him his 3rd concussion of the year. Sadly he will be spending the rest of his senior year on the bench.

Did he have a M11 on...?

On a serious note, its terrible when a player is hurt and is place out for the season. Take it easy, Garren; injuries like these are potentially serious. Best of luck.

I guess I cant question if the check was illegal or not, because I wasnt there. Usually if an injury was the result of even a questionable hit, the call is made. Was anyone else at the game that thinks the same way? I just dont agree with the title of this thread. There are injuries that happen all season on all teams. I am interested how the other two concussion happened to occur with this player. how had he become a common denominater?

I would like to know what the hell he was doing on the ice after suffering 2 concussions this season already? I mean seriously.

I sure hope he's ok, but I question the decision that he continued playing after 2 concussions.

I trust that you were there, I was just wondering if there were other opinions or other obervers that post on this forum. I dont agree with the wording of your subject post. While a check from behind will probably occur at least once for every team that plays in this state, both for and against, it doesn't neccesarily means that evry team is cheap. While everyone on the forum sincerely hopes that the injured player is ok, and we all feel bad for his season ending injury. We all hope the bet for him. How many times have White Bear been called this season for any sort of check from behind? Just be careful of labeling teams or player individually in your subject posting.

My son has taken some wicked hits, been checked from behind with the face mask going into the bottom of the boards-very scary. Never a concussion.

If a kid is concussion-prone he should not be playing contact sports IMO.

Dont get me wrong, Im not a huge fan of the ER team, thee are the same kids playing that got into trouble lat year with other unlawful violations. Im ure that there are some great repectful players on that team. unfortunately there are always a few bad seeds or disrespectful players on any team. White Bear is not immuned from this rule. I just hope the best for the injured player. I also agree with Ponies Dad about his ability to stay on the ice after having two previous concussions. The love of playing the game is truely hard to give up.

 I'm not sure there is such a thing as a "concussion prone" kid. Maybe it's parents willing to call it what it is and do the right thing.

So if you were at the First meeting between ER and WB, the you didnt see the 5 Min Major for checking for bechind assest to White Bear Lake? this same check from behind caused a fight to insue on the ice and resulted in game misconduct on both sides. If you are at all there games and never see this, you need to watch the games. Perhaps this game was a little rough due to the last meeting between these teams. Pot calling the kettle Black?

WhiteBear in fact accumulated 58 penelty min including 3 Game misconducts in this game alone.

It is sad that a post about a serious injury for a student-athlete even has any room for taking shots at teams or players, whether it be initiated by a poster or a respondent.

All that needs to be said is: I hope he gets better soon, it is awful that a kid has to miss sports during his senior year of high school which is, in most cases, the last chance people get to play competitively.

Sounds about right. Enough of this.
