BSM is ranked in the top 5 in most rankings and the Spuds are riding an 8-game winning streak. On paper this looks like a win for BSM, but this season has been so unpredictable, just about anything can happen. It should be a good game.
Who will win this game and why?

Moorhead is at home...
BSM just played tonight... and BSM has to make the 4 hour drive up to the flattest piece of land in the world. (their rest could be a factor).

It's close but the flattest piece of land would actually be on the west side of the Red River. As I've heard Spudnut say on many occasions about North Dakota, "It's not the end of the world, but you can see it from there."PuckU126 wrote:Forgot to explain myself,PuckU126 wrote:Spuds baby, I've gotta go with the Spuds!!CitiesSpudsGuy wrote:BSM is ranked in the top 5 in most rankings and the Spuds are riding an 8-game winning streak. "Bus Legs"? Give me a break, these guys are young bucks who are in great shape. This is a big game for Benilde since the spuds beat Wayzata twice so section seeding is a factor here. Benilde has been scoring in droves lately but also giving up too many goals in big games. Pauly will have Benilde ready for this one.
Benilde 6 Moorhead 4
Benilde 6 Moorhead 4
I will take Benilde in this one 5-3. Moorehead is a scrappy team with great goeltending but cannot match Benilde's team speed and skill. This game is far more important to Benilde since Wayzata has already lost twice to Moorehead. If Benilde stays out of the box they may even win by a wider margin but if they have a 2nd period lapse, like what has happened in a few big games this year, they will be involved in a tight game to the finish.

It's "M-o-o-r-h-e-a-d", maybe you oughta stick to "B-r-e-c-k" - that's simpler . . .

I'll be honest a four hour drive probably isn't that bad. I've driven longer for sports and felt fine.PuckU126 wrote:Forgot to explain myself,PuckU126 wrote:Spuds baby, I've gotta go with the Spuds!!CitiesSpudsGuy wrote:BSM is ranked in the top 5 in most rankings and the Spuds are riding an 8-game winning streak. 2-0 now.... Jake Horton with the goal for BSM. Spuds' defense isn't passing the test so far.

3-0 now. Jake Horton on the power play with his 2nd of the game late in the 1st period.
End of the 1st period. Shots were 14-6.
If Benilde is suffering from "bus legs" as someone mentioned before, I'd hate to see what the score would be if they didn't have "bus legs".
Spuds need to get physical and slow Benilde down, in my opinion.
