Here's my seedings.

1. Maple Grove
2. Centennial
3. Blaine
4. Osseo
5. Champlin Park
6. Anoka
7. Coon Rapids
8. North Metro
9. Irondale, (why they come to this section I will never understand)

Your thoughts.

If Blaine wins on the 19th against Centennial; I'd give them the 2nd seed (IMO).

Even with that 5-0 game, it looks weird putting Blaine in the 3rd seed.

We'll just have to wait and see.

The group of seniors and juniors on both Maple Grove and Centennial had a lot of success at the bantam level, not sure if either team was hurt by private school enrollment, nor am I familiar with each's high school coaching, or any other intangibles, but if I remember right, this Centennial group had a better run as youths. The group at Blaine had success as well but the early departure of Bjugstad had a huge impact.

Maple Grove without a doubt should be the #1 seed, but I think Centennial is the team to beat, their goaltender struggled early but is finding his game at the right time.

Maple Grove's Junior and Sophomore classes both went to the State Tournament as Bantams taking 5th each year.

It's been interesting to watch the NW Suburban and Section 5 unfold this year. Even though we have not played a sectional game yet I'm wondering if we are seeing a little changing of the guard. No doubt, Bjugstad's departure has hurt the Bengals but Maple Grove's recent success and depth at the youth level has really emerged for the Crimson.

Is this the start of a multi year run for MG or is this a cinderella season? Anything coming up behind this group?
