Moorhead just tied it up on the power play in the third period in Bemidji, 1-1. Terry Leabo with the shot from the point.

Wonder how the Moorhead folks feel about him now, eh? Moorhead just scored again, with Leabo bringing the puck into the zone. Puck in the slot during a scramble, with Tony Uglem picking the corner on Graves. 2-1 Moorhead, although the goal was called unassisted.

But Bemidji comes right back and ties it at 2-2. Bad Moorhead pass coming out of the zone, picked off by Steven Heller, who beat Bitzer for the goal.

Wow, Bemidji scored in overtime...but the play had been blown dead for offsides. Still going tied at 2-2.

The Spuds have to win to get the No. 1 seed...because of that loss to Roseau earlier in the year, which Bemidji does not have.

And it's over. Looks like after 118 minutes of hockey between these two teams, nothing has been decided head-to-head. If they meet in the finals, it could take a while to decide it!

These two teams are the class of section 8. Spuds are solid, Bemidji is hungry. Will be a great finals between them. where do you think it will be played. My guess is St. Cloud or better yet TRF.

I love how everyone is putting these two teams in the finals already! I am not saying it couldn't happen, but the way this year is going.... I am just going to wait it out and see who makes it. I am not counting any of these teams out. (Moorhead, Bemidji, Roseau, Brainerd, Tech).

How do you know who's gonna be in the final ? Got ESP ?

Wow, GREAT guess on the location - since the MSHSL shows it'll be played in Thief River, St Cloud, Fargo or Bemidji, you have a 50/50 chance at being right !

Does anyone know if any of the teams in 8AA made it to the Minnesota state bantam A tournament when they were second year bantams.

The current Junior class from Bemidji made it to both Minnesota hockey and VFW state as 2nd year Bantams and took 4th place in both. I believe Moorhead went as well that year.

The current senior class from Roseau went to state as Bantams upsetting Bemidji in Regions after losing to them 4 times during the season (obviously that includes tourneys). I believe that was Minnesota Hockey and that Moorhead beat Bemidji in the championship to be the rep at VFW that year.
