He's got a team-mate with 61 points, thus being involved on 56% of all of the team's goals! Hmmm, what can we do to get Scott on THAT line? The team mate is an exchange student, right?

Good question. I was thinking of doing such a post, but then, you know, got lazy ... errrr, busy!

Here are top five scorers from last season:
57 points
Kyle Osterberg, Lakeville South 18-39 (49%) = 2.28 points per game
46 points
Grant Besse, Benilde-SM 27-19 (35%) = 1.84 ppg
44 points
T J Roo, Totino-Grace 22-22 (35%) = 1.76 ppg
41 points
Max Coatta, Minnetonka 20-21 (27%) = 1.64 ppg
37 points
Levi Talarico, Duluth Denfeld 15-22 (44%) = 1.48 ppg

The points per game calculation assumes that they all played 25 regular season games.

So, how does our current top five match up?

43 points
Karson Kuhlman, Cloquet, 21:15-28 (41%) = 2.05 ppg
33 points
Connor Hurley, Holy Angels, 20:9-24 (35%) = 1.65 ppg
32 points
Aaron Dietmeier, WSFLG (WI), 20:20-12 (30%) = 1.60 ppg
26 points
Shane Gersich, Holy Family Catholic, 17:12-14 (8th Grade) (30%) = 1.53 ppg
22 points
Will Hammer, St. Cloud Cathedral, 18:11-11 (27%) = 1.22 ppg

Clearly, last season's top five is outscoring this season's top five. But last season was exceptional, I believe.

And then here are the top five scorers from two seasons ago:

(Goals – Assists)
51 points
Travis Boyd - Hopkins 26-25 = 2.04 ppg
38 points
Christian Horn – BenildeSM 23-15 = 1.52 ppg
35 points
Sam Coborn – Park Rapids 14-21 = 1.40 ppg
32 points
Austyn Young – South St. Paul 11-21 = 1.28 ppg
28 points
Garret Schmitz – Red Lake Falls 12-16 = 1.12 ppg

So, the last two years' top scorers: Travis Boyd and Kyle Osterberg are in the UNTDP, correct? Is that where KK will go next season?
