Hockey Day 2011

Post by underthenbar01 »

Wayzata vs Roseau.

Hill Murray vs Moorhead.

Should be an awesome day.

I'll go with the trojans and the pioneers. Thoughts?

Should be an awesome day of hockey. I'll agree with you on the trojans and pioneers winning their games....

I feel the same.

I predict the Trojans will easily handle the Roseau. Again... I'm sorry Rams... 6-2 Wayzata

Pioneer, Spuds game will be closer. HM 4, Spudsters 2

I like those scores. I think it'll come down to goal tending for both of the northern teams. Roseau just needs to find any to have a fighting chance. But if Bitzer plays like we know he can, the second game will be a great one.

Looks like both teams are in their home jerseys -- what's up with that?

Good question. Hopefully they can change that between periods somehow, if not, it is very tough to watch on TV

What would you expect from a Minnesota politician.

Gov. Jesse the Body (I'm not a politician)
Rep. Michelle Bachman (head of Tea Party caucus)
Gov. Mark Dayton (shut down his Washington Senate office)
Sen. Paul Wellstone (Crazy Paul - rest in peace dude)

And now Sen. Al Franken (SNL and Playboy contributor)

This state is so mixed up when it comnes to politics. Need I say more....

I missed the face off. What happened?
And one of them needs to change jerseys.

Weird to hear Dick Bremer commentate for the hockey game... I am use to hearing him calling only Twins games!

I'm tired of this outdoor stuff. Was cool at first, but sick of the ice conditions handcuffing skill and causing injuries and ruining the game. I think from now on the HS games should showcase some of the great HS rinks in the state like Hibbing Memorial, IRA Civic Center, Hippodrome, The Ralph in TRF, and new rinks like Amsoil Arena in Duluth and the Sanford Center in Bemidji. I think they could sell out the games at Amsoil Arena and invite all schools competing to bring their bands. Would be a great atmosphere.
