2011 State Tournament - Pick the Winners Challenge

As has been our custom in the recent past we invite all forum readers to participate in this year’s "2011 State Tournament - Pick the Winners Challenge". There are no prizes other than the highest possible level of esteem being bestowed on those who are talented (or lucky?) enough to do well. Plus it’s a fun way of following the progress of both the Class A and AA tournaments as you root for your favorite teams.

Here are the five simple rules:
1. Class A predictions (all games) must be posted by Wednesday, February 23 at 11:00 am.
2. Class AA predictions (all games) must be posted by Thursday, February 24 at 11:00 am.
3. We will only post predicted game scores for the first days’ games in each class (quarterfinal games only). Predicting the WINNER of each quarterfinal game is worth 3 points. Any correct quarterfinal SCORE adds 2 bonus points.
4. Predicting the WINNER of each of the four semifinal games is worth 5 points (each).
5. Predicting the WINNER of each of the two championship games is worth 10 points (each).

Class A Quarterfinal scores so far:

Eveleth-Gilbert vs. Red Wing (tbd)

So far all the seeded teams have won easily, although Hutchinson did a nice job in shutting down SSP after the 1st period. All 20 of our contestants are perfect so far in predicting the winners of the first three games. There were no correct scores in the first two, but three of us predicted the 7-0 score in Warroad's win. It still leaves a logjam but that should break a bit after the Eveleth-Gilbert/Red Wing tilt, where the votes are split 13/7. Standings going into that one:
